Mascot asserted their dominance at the start of the second half when the tenacious Hayley Buckingham found Catherine Cannuli who slotted the ball past the keeper to take an unassailable 6-0 lead.

The Magics opening goal finally came when Jenna Kingsley dispossessed a defender ran forward and slotted the ball home. Buoyed by their goal Sydney Magic came close twice without luck with efforts by Kingsley and Spirovski.

Mascot then put the game beyond doubt when Elyce Goss received the ball in an innocuous position out on the left touchline but she suddenly stepped inside and slammed a superb shot across the keeper into the top right hand corner.

Natalie Spirovski pulled a goal back for PCYC when she cracked the ball home straight from a freekick on the right side.
