  1. Now this I don’t like….. offering prize money… nope sorry don’t like it.

    But good luck to them

Are they FFA sanctioned, will people be banned if they play??

  2. will we see premier league teams enter?
my team might have a chance now if they dont :).
im sure there is competition on that day.????

    although toepoke,
prize money is great incentive, for 380 dollas it is great value. will see my team down there.

  3. Prize money is nothing new.(It caused fights on the court 25 years ago !) lol…
Wow ! a massive $416.67 for each player (but only the winners???)

BIGGEST MENS FUTSAL TOURNAMENT IN AUSTRALIA ! Now where have I heard that claim before ? mmmm now let me seeeeeeeee………………………………………..!

New synthetic pitch ? does that mean players need new astroturf style shoes ?

Great value fernando? What do you actually get for your $386 ? Ask all the losers after the event to see if it was good value !

I would predict the Vikings Nationals to be the biggest.
2nd possibly the FFA ACT nationals.
Sorry guys I can only see you coming in 3rd (In January )
    But good luck anyway

  4. F.SALA.. How many mens teams would you be predicting for the Vikings Nationals? and will they be playing on International size courts?

  5. toepoke and f.sala you are both a bunch of complete whingers.

you both add very little to most of the discusions. No matter what the topic fsala is always pushing the vikings agenda. I assume therefore you are part of the vikings operation in nsw.

of course prizemoney is nothing new. Duh!! the size of this prizepool for a Futsal tournament though is very very rare.

i know of a great number of teams who are likely to try for the 5K, and good on them too. well done bss for offering such a great incentive.

f.sala go share your constant negativity on another site, we dont need it here.

  6. what dates are vikings nationals? might be worth coming up and clean sweeping the two tournaments if you had a good side that you thought were up to it? might round the boys up and pay for my free trip with the prize money!!! hahahaha

  7. I’m glad you’re one of my loyal readers Wayne………..

WOW ! this is the best tournament Ive ever seen, I cant wait to enter all my teams and win the fantastic prize money on offer.

    ….Is that better Wayne?

  8. Why laugh at the FFA ? I dont find what they’re doing to futsal very amusing do you ?
and thanks for the Vikings plug, I’m glad you support what they’re doing !

I just believe like many others that futsal is a sport in its own right to be run by futsal “people” ! (Brasilian FUTSAL schools might have a bit more credibility, no ?)

Small groups like bss and our SA friends are entitled to advertise their tournaments on this site,- not too like them or agree that they benefit our sport as a whole is my opinion and my right !

Hope to see you at the Vikings Nationals !

  9. Wasn’t a whinge…. was a personal comment…. I feel offering money is not the way to go. Offering a great tournament with player pathways is far better than trying to buy loyalty. …. just my opinion… and as I said good luck to them

I am really surprised no one has said anything about it not being an FFA sanctioned event after all the bashing Vikings have taken.

  10. I do find the….. Biggest mens futsal tournamnt in Australia – Limited numbers … quite funny though.

LOL biggest but with limited numbers… now surely someone else finds it a little humours

  11. Sorry Simon I missed your question, Do you plan on entering team(s) in the Vikings nationals ?
If I was you I would prepare your men on a full sized futsal court……………………

  12. No mate I just want to observe both tournaments. Not too many of those Vikings venues listed have International sized courts unless there is a major reconfiguration of the hall.

  13. So, do you want numbers of all ages and women/girls or is it just open men ?
Great to have you observing, more spectators adds to the atmosphere.
What is major reconfiguration? Putting new lines down ??? lol

  14. Very droll..creating International size courts will reduce the number of courts available at the venue which may be OK id there aren’t that many games. As for the respective numbers, lets just wait and see. I do mean the ‘state’ component and not the weekend ‘club’ competition by the way.

  15. I dont understand your motivation Simon ? First you want Vikings numbers , now you want to wait and see ? Are you really an FFA “I.T. guy” ? lol

Yes creating an International sized court in a standard indoor venue will reduce the number of courts ! (Although thats not rocket science – well done!)

  16. HI ALL,PRIZE MONEY OR NO PRIZE MONEY…….THE BEST AND MOST COMPETITIVE FUTSAL COMPETITION IS SIMPLY THE PREMIER LEAGUE.IT IS COMPETITIVE FOR ALL AGES …FROM UNDER 12 BOYS TO ALL AGE MEN AND WOMEN.FOR ALL THE RUBBISH THROWN AT FUTSAL NSW ,DOES ANY OTHER STATE RUN SUCH A COMPETITIVE COMPETITION FOR THE 20 WEEKS OR SO OF THE OFF SEASON.IF SO GOOD ON THEM…………………BUT FOR ALL THE OOH HA ABOUT THE VIKINGS,WHY IS IT THAT IN THE NATIONALS NSW CLEAN UP.DO NOT GET ME WRONG,I WOULD LOVE TO SEE ALL STATES HAVING STRONG COMPETITIONS AND HAVE A NATIONAL LEAGUE…………….INSTEAD OF BEING DESTRUCTIVE ,LET US ALL BE CONSTRUCTIVE…..OVER THE LAST 25 YEARS I HAVE SEEN FUTSAL BE LIKE A YOYO…….BUILD ,DESTROY,BUILD,DESTROY…LET US ALL BUILD THIS WONDERFUL GAME.

  17. i play in a tasmanian league which has started just this year and i have competed in many tournaments australia wide and i would have to say this one is right up there…… obviously not as competitive as nsw or perhaps victorian premier leagues but as far as tasmania is concerned it is the top competition i have seen for players and is at a more high level than outdoor down here……..
i would like to see the champions of the tasmanian competition able to compete against a quality nsw side…… any of you want to tour sometime?

  18. F.SALA, no motivation…just a heads up

I have no affiliation either way and it just makes me laugh how you belittle anyone who doesn’t share your (Vikings?) point of view.

From where i sit the Vikings is a very well-run organisation with the best interests of the sport at heart.

Unfortunately your behaviour here has the potential to alienate the neutrals.

  19. Simon I have been around Australian futsal for the best part of 3 decades now.

Vikings is by far the best product offered although by no stretch of the imagination is it perfect – yet !

Sorry but I dont sit “on the wall” I commit to my beliefs. Unlike some people !

  20. Always like seeing tournaments arranged promoting the game, no harm in that.

I do love the claim “including insurance”

    What a joke that is……

One day someone will come out and sell there tournament for what it is….
