5 Star Player Profile – Ryan Campbell
| Name | Ryan Campbell |
|---|---|
| Nickname | Campbo |
| Date of Birth | 12.01.1991 |
| State/Country you play Futsal in | Northern NSW, Australia |
| What got you started in Futsal? | Mates said we should enter a side in the local competition for some fun in the football off season |
| What age did you start playing? | 9 |
| Preferred on field position | Target/Pivot |
| Current Team/Club you play for | Newcastle/Northern NSW |
| Hardest Futsal opponent | Pretty much the whole NSW Thunder side that I have come up against since about 10s |
| Favourite Meal | A whole lot of meat |
| Favourite Hobby | Football/Futsal otherwise hanging with mates |
| Favourite Team | If I had to choose it would have to be Sevilla, but in England I like the way Arsenal move the ball |
| Favourite Sportsperson | Falcao/Fernando Torres/Noclas Anelka |
| Favourite Music | Pretty much listen to anything |
| Most Memorable Futsal moment on or off the court | On the court would have to be scoring an equalizer against Victoria with 4 seconds to go when our team was a man down to top our group or winning the golden boot in 13s |
| Which coach would you say influenced you the most in Futsal and at what age? | Con Tagaroulios at age 13/14. He was probably my worst enemy during the training sessions and the tournament due to how hard on me he was, but he gave me the captaincy and also ensured that I played at 110 everytime I went out which brought the best out of me |
| What was the best tip you’ve ever been taught in Futsal? | If the other team doesn’t have the ball they can’t score a goal so keep the ball and you have a good chance of winning the game |
| What goals do you still want to achieve in Futsal? | Win golden boot and hopefully player of the tournament at upcoming National Championships, play for my country and play at a World Cup. |
| List 3 people you would love to have over for dinner | Falcao, Fernando Torres and RIHANNA |

Saw you in action coaching at the recent FFA Nationals and you did a great job with both teams. Hope to see you back in action as a player this year as you have always been a crowd pleaser. Keep on smiling!
