Day Two of the Penrith Futsal School Regional Championships was the primary schools day to show their skills across the group phase and finals format. With 30 teams participating in the following age groups 10 Boys & Girls and 12 Boys and Girls.

In the 10 Boys final Our Lady of the Nativity A took on Banks Public School in a closely contested final. Our Lady of the Nativity started strongly playing some nice attacking Futsal, however Banks PS never gave in and fought hard to get back into the contest. It was not enough as they went down to Our Lady of the Nativity 3-2. Also a special mention to the Our Lady of the Nativity boys as they played all day with only 5 players and managed to hold on to win.

  1. Congrats to all school teams!
I am sorry for the poor U10s girls who lost the finals on”forfeit’due to a “mix up”. Tell me, was this the same sort of ‘mix up’ that had other teams lose their 1st games due to forefiet, the result of never being informed by FNSW that the original draw had been changed.? This was allowed to happen even after I rang the FNSW the Thursday before to tell them that schools HAD NOT been informed there was a new draw, meaning earlier games. They promised me we would have a team to play against for our new first game time….we won 6-0 forfeit!!! WHY? It was inexcusable!

  2. t doyle…what do you expect when FNSW organise a competition? They stuff sh*t up all the time! Last year when we entered out team in state titles we had 3 games on the first day, first starting at 4pm. The next thing you know I check before I go to bed the night before and we got 3 games in the morning first at 8am. They changed the draw 3 times all up in 1 day before the tournament started. Good old FNSW keeping the tradition!!!

  3. have to agree.
