Back from holidays and more rubbish from Mickey Mouse, sorry Vikings. Another Mickey Mouse competition with another Mickey Mouse Australian team. Let’s see.
Sanctioned by UEFS? Are they trying to pretend to be UEFA? UEFA has just finished the qualifying Euro Futsal Championships last week with 28 countries participating. http://www.uefa.com/competitions/futsal/teams/index.html. None of the true representative players from this UEFA comp will be playing in the UEFS comp that’s for sure.
This Mickey Mouse competition has just announced that the club team from Abkhazia has pulled out, 3 days before the competition starting. Official reason being visa problems, real reason, they found out what a Mickey Mouse competition it was, but by then the Australia Mickey had already done it’s dough and was in the country. The Mickey Mouse team will now play Catalunya and St. Helena. I looked up St. Helena on Wikipedia. February 2008 census, population of 4,255. Futsal players, 200? I hope to God Milton can overcome this team otherwise his team will miss out on the semis!!!! lol. At $5,000.00+ cost per player and official, Milton will be much better off bringing his Victorian team up and playing against Quake, Magic, Eagles etc. for the whole winter league rather than playing between 2 and maximum 4 games. But than that’s how the Mickey Mouse Organisation works. Sell the Australian shirt cheaply for bragging rights. I see the Mickey Mouse ex Futsalroos had enough sense not to go.
Welcome back Henky , we’ve all missed you ! I’m personally glad to see that Vikings have had a part in your education, you looked up St Helena on Wikipedia (all on your own too?) well done.
We must be really getting to you as you cant ignore us can you ! lol I looked up Quake, Magic and Eagles etc it didn’t mention Mickey Mouse but said something about same teams same competition same exorbitant price structure ! – Is that the one you wanted Milton to sign up for ???

To Henk, I have to inform you, that Abkhazia did not get the visa, even that the vicepresident of UEFS has been talking a few times with the spanish embasador in Moscow.
Abkhazia is not a member of UEFA, and they been playing already in UEFS competition 2 mounth ago in Russia, with the Cup of Ex Russian Republics.
Taking part on this the national temas of Ukrania, Abkhazia, Russia and Belarus.
So who is Mickey Mouse?
Before talk we need to know about what we are talking.
UEFS and AMF should have the same respect than FIFA-UEFA so far both are working for the good developement of the Futsal.
Hello Alex. Do you know why Abkhazia did not get a visa? Because it is not a country recognised by any other country besides Russia and Nicaragua. Every other country in the world recognises it as being part of Georgia. It is also why it is not a member of UEFA. That is why it is relegated to playing in Mickey Mouse competitions like Vikings. UEFS is headquarted in Russia and cannot be given the same respect as UEFA which represents true countries. UEFS represents no country, only associations that cannot affiliate with UEFA. Flying half way around the world and spending over $60,000.00 to play in this farce would have been a good April Fools joke if it was not so tragic for the players who did their dough.

Once again Henk opens his mouth and out comes the effluent. Jeez $60k to travel half way round the world. Mate they didn’t pay one 5th of that. They have a good travel agent, who I am sure would have loved to have booked your holiday as they would probably would retire as you have no idea, and no the players didn’t pay for Milton and Garry. The players new how much the air tickets cost and that was all they paid, no hotel bills food taken care of, more gear than you can poke a stick at. Yet when you look at the email for comps for the FuTsAl roos your beloved FFA put out to players in March it looks impressive,until you notice against every event 3 little letters TBC…..TO BE CONFIRMED. The only comp that the Futsalroos look like going o is the Asian qualifiers and what does this email say October/.November. It anyone at FFA had bothered to look on the AFC website they would see that the Asian Qualifiers are actually 2nd-9th DECEMBER.
Call Vikings a Mickey Mouse organisation if you must, but at least they are proactive unlike the other mob reactive.
Get a real job your talents are wasted on this website.
Let’s see, One fifth of $60,000.00 is $12,000.00. 11 passengers.Hmmmm that makes it $1,090.91 per person to Spain and back. The last time I spent $1,000.00 it just got me to Asia and back on a cheap deal. Did the team swim the rest of the way? Based on your logic does this also mean that the Vikings New Zealand trips would have cost $300.00 in total for the players? Of course not!!!! It was more than 5 times the amount.

Henk is still good to see that you have your head up your rectum. Have you ever thought that there maybe people in this world who apart from you know what they are doing? If you paid a $1000.00 to go to asia just proves that you are not as smart as you make out. “$300.. to go to NZ no 5 times that amount” Find out the facts before you spread the gospel according to Henk theory. No wonder NSW Futsal don’t go to any overseas comps you just have no idea.

In all my years of experience, noone has bettered the Vikings agent that we use for all of our overseas tours ! (That should get me a free trip to somewhere !)

Zayne Frieberg played amazing ,Easily best player on the court, made alot of unbelievable saves 2 of them being 10m free kicks.
Jonny Barrientos also worked extremely hard and saved us many times in defence.
Australia got to Five fouls and Catalyuna score the equaliser with just moments remaining.
good stuff nargs and zayno. unlucky about the late equaliser. Henk, mickey mouse competition or not, you can’t take anything away from any of the players. there’s some amazing players in that team. kui and nargs can reverse pitbull players from 3 paces, liddy can block an oncoming 3 on 1 counter attack, zayne can surprise you with his dullness and then amaze you with his reflexes, ray ray can keep the ball off as many defenders as you can throw at him before toe-punting top corner and pilat who can break bones.

Absolutely agree. Fantastic game yesterday except the result was 2-0. Oops did I let on that I was a football supporter as well? Scott-Fenn, Jade, Alex, Wes Brown you are obviously family and friends of the team and I wish you well and hope you stay with Futsal when Vikings rejoin FFA. We need enthusiastic supporters. For F. Sala and his mad dogs, I hope they are true to their beliefs that FFA does nothing for Futsal and leave. I know Milton. A bit tubby since he stopped playing 2 years ago but a nice guy. I did rack my brains as to why he would go on such a tour until I had a look at the Vikings website. Even up to 20.3.09, two weeks ago, Vikings believed that they were playing against Teams from France, Canada, Belgium, Argentina, Morocco and Spain. Misunderstanding? No. Deliberate lies by the organisers? Probably. And Alex, the Abkhazian players could have gone with Georgian passports which are recognised by Spain but they chose not to. Scott-Fenn, I hope the boys try out for the Futsalroos for the Asian qualifiers this year.
Sad news ahead for you Henky, the FFA will “join” Vikings when the independent review findings are released…and will we have a job for Henky ???? Certainly not in the travel area , propaganda minister might keep you busy as it does now ?
p.s. Henky if you think the game yesterday (2-0) was fantastic, you may be a football supporter certainly not a football fan…the game was as crappy (nearly) as that pathetic last Asian cup qualifier !

Action indoor soccer run a Futsal tournament in Oz each year with South Africa, japan and NZ….. some guy south of Sydney played an Australian team against Russia some time back, theres some clown (Ray janes) in the Vic area who runs Futsal Australia and Oceania, not to mention Brazillian Futsal School who do their own thing…. but he cares most about Vikings….. tis a compliment I think

Jeeze F.Sala, what a grouch! 57,000 Australians at the game with me and millions watching on TV would not agree. The only other people watching who thought the game was crappy were the Uzbekistanis. As to the loss to St. Helena, population 4,255, Milton is obviously missing Fernando as his whole strategy at the Nationals was to pass the ball to him. Here’s a joke to lighten the mood. More a realist than a grouch mr Henk ! Having coached at a national level (before Vikings !) I credit myself with recognising and appreciating good football (as well as futsal). I repeat if you thought that game was “fantastic” to use your own phrasing you are easily pleased (Your love of the FFA’s contribution to futsal is now understandable!).
I give credit to the team for getting the 3 points and virtually qualifying for South Africa but the game was C R A P P Y ! If we play like that in the finals we wont have a lot to look forward to. We can and MUST play better than that but as I said earlier you are satisfied with mediocrity……in both codes ! lol

Si I think you’ll find it is a Vikings Australian side playing, and good on them for going, you don’t see too many other teams from Australia out competing (sadly) at the end of the day any experience gained has got to be good for Futsal

Simon, I can’t see how the current result is any more of an embarrassment than the FFA side that DIDN’T qualify for the world cup. China and Thailand did…. oddly enough both those sides have played Vikings teams in the preparation. The FFA side went to China and were beaten worse than the Vikings NZ side…. now that is embarrassing.
Like I said before, good on the guys going away and playing, the experience will be great for them and it will no doubt aid in creating depth in Futsal in Australia.

So you have played football & Futsal in Australia and you have paid money out of your own pocket to coach touring teams overseas. You are really one of a kind and somewhat different to the other couple of hundred coaches past and present whom have done the same. You were around the game in Nsw but you now live in Qld. Gee with your knowledge & experience Macca should be sh!tting himself that he will be out of a job soon.
I’m starting to wonder how Gilligan kept the Aussie job for so long cause I’m not sure he has the credentials & experience that you have!! Mmmm the only two people that come to mind with your details is Stan Fisk & Marty Calvert. Stan is no longer involved in Futsal and when Marty speaks only intelligent things come out of his mouth so that rules both of them out being you.

Alistair M. I see the Catalonian team had their club colours on. They did not pretend to be the Spanish National team. There will only be one National Futsal Championships in 2010. I thought the FFV would be out DEVELOPING coaches not asking for help… thats right Futsal is secondary to Football at the FFV, that is why Vikings Futsal in Victoria is the largest provider, just ask Milton!!!

If you know your Chiffons or cotton/polyester mixes you have a walk up start because the uniforms seem to be the most important factor to them. Should we expect all FFV teams to be wearing a chartreuse/silk strip next year ?mmmmmmm
I saw all the games from Australia, and I have to say that they did play very well, actually people in Europe was surprise about the team, in the past all the teams from Australia that came to Europe were very weak, and this time we saw a really futsal team, with players with very good performance and skills, I think the final standing of the Nations Cup does not show the effort that the aussies did.
I have to say that all the teams had a similar level, Catalonia vs Australia 2-2, and Catalonia became the champion.
Also the short number of players and the injury of a few players from Australia, did that the last games of the aussies, they couldnt mantein the phisic condition in the second half.
