Strathfieldsaye beat Pakenham Consolidated School in the year 5 & 6 grand final

Stathfieldsaye Primary School has been crowned the Football Federation Victoria school futsal champion.

Strathfieldsaye won the boys year 5 and 6 grand final at Flora Hill Stadium yesterday.

Strathfieldsaye outclassed Pakenham Consolidated School 8-2 in the decider.

The FFV School Futsal Championships have been staged in Bendigo this week with matches at Flora Hill Stadium and the Schweppes Centre.

The round robin competition included more than 80 teams.

On Monday, CRC St Albans proved too strong for Illum College in the boys year 9 and 10 final, while St Monica’s College won a hard-fought year 9 and 10 girls final 2-0 over Mentone.

St Albans Secondary College dominated the boys year 7 and 8 division on Tuesday, while Alphington Grammar won the year 7 and 8 girls final.

The competition concludes today with the boys and girls year 11 and 12 divisions to be decided.
