Ive had a great idea Henky ! We all know football is struggling financially ? I have a new idea to save them many thousands of collective dollars !……….. Do away with Goal(post)s ! They’ve done away with goalkeepers so why need goals ? I see no-one has criticised me for my comments on this stupid move ! Are you all too weak to tell the FFA some home truths ? And you lot want to get hold of FUTSAL ????aaaaaaaaaagggggghhhhhhh

You see Henk, this is the part I’m confused with..”Vikings did not sign up with NSW Football was to do with the money”.. the letter states that Vikings asked for a lower rego… NSW didn’t want to do this… then as sweetener is offering a 20% reduction in rego fee’s… ummmm so they are giving a lower rego fee.

I think you were right when you said “Football NSW was never going to sign on with Vikings”.

As usual there is 2 sides to every story and sorry I do not trust most news that comes from Football on Futsal…. have been around way to long and listen to way to much lip service and promises.

As for NSW players having already voted with their feet…. I think they are all to involved with their precious football to care about Futsalat the moment…. it’s just the few in here that have “voted”.

No Bob, if you read the letter from FFA again, you will see that the only reason Vikings did not sign up with NSW Football was to do with the money, not because they thought NSW and FFA were such bad organisations. Football NSW was never going to sign on with Vikings, it was the other way around. Better check with your Queensland office, they have not denied the contents of the letter. NSW players have all voted with their feet. They are staying with NSW and FFA. You are not even a good loser, you are a bad loser.

There is not enough opportunities for youth development for Futsal in NSW. My son is in U16 and acknowledged by many (not just his doting mum!) as a really good player but very rarely finds the level of competition he seeks at club level. I think he has been a late bloomer, so by the time he started attending trials it was a bit of a closed shop.

If I’m wrong, and he is just not quite good enough to be chosen, I would be willing to pay for top quality coaching and development to give him that extra edge. All I can find on offer at present is development programs targeting existing rep players. He has done similar outdoor programs in the past and benefitted tremendously.

In our area of Sydney we have approx. 20 outdoor U16 teams (over 300 players in this age group) to vie for a handful of indoor position in the off-season.

For my son, there is no off-season. He made the decision this year that Futsal is his sport and did not play outdoor, instead choosing to practise his Futsal with whoever he could find, often against adults and uni students at Macquarie uni – usually for extended sessions 4- 5 times per week.

He has the will – just not the way…!

Isn’t anyone willing to run a program (still requiring an open trial) for these kids who don’t make it into rep?

All the kids in Australia oh sorry all the males in Australia as there is no pathway for women, must be very excited about one day playing for a team that plays at best once every 2 years.

Scott G was the last coach and he has been gone for quite some time. FFA are very serious about the futsalfools sorry futsalroos

What an ambition ! To play for the Futsalroos (now there’s another old fashioned horrible tag !) Several “Futsalroos” were coached by me as youngsters, so (according to your reckoning) I can take full credit for their skills and successes ! One game every 4 years, now there’s a pathway millions of Aussie children will want to gallop down !
Glad to see your’e in denial about Vikings coaches, Henky….hahahaha how it must hurt you to even say the word !
Do you use the name Bob because you cant spell F.Sala…or just to prove to all that you haven’t a clue ?
Just remember Henky, Mohammad went to the mountain not the other way round !I dont see Vikings going to the FFA ……….. ooooh thats gonna hurt !

Ole, regardless of who is chosen, the futsalroos will only come from FFA registered players. The national coach will be a FFA coach, not a Vikings coach.
