Happy to take a bet on this Bob. I’ll give you 10 to 1 odds on it being the FFA Nationals, not the Mickey Mouse pretend Nationals.

So the Vikings Nationals still hurts you huh ? mmmmmmmmmmm good ! lol

Being evasive does not strengthen your arguments as usual.

Why do I keep humming that song……” you’ve got me under your skin…..”

I’m surprised that Vikings haven’t taken the credit for the success of the Solomons.

HENKY!!!

Henk ,…. as you work…. sorry sit in an office at FFV I thought you would have made comment on my post about your CEO wanting to use Futsal and the players a a source of revenue for Football in Victoria
“The FFV aimed, in the Plan, to have developed a “safety net of cash
assets” of $2.5m by 2011. It also states that in 2008 the FFV wanted to
“launch a minimum of five short-medium term stand alone and joint
venture new business initiatives” . What were these ventures, and was
that target reached?*
It’s fair to say that that target was one of the ones that wasn’t
reached to it’s full capacity. We’re looking at a number of different
ventures to generate new revenue. Some of those involve looking at some
online retail opportunities to ensure that those involved in the sport
have the ability to buy the products they need, and Futsal. We believe
there are opportunities to get more futsal players to generate more
revenue for the sport.( _*of football )*_
is the same old same old with Football and their view of Futsal
Jul 21, 2009, 3:31 pm
@Ole
Which part of “stand alone” don’t you understand? They are trying to push futsal to generate more revenue for futsal by my reading.
You are the only person who added “for football” in the sentence.
Name one state federation who MAKES more money from futsal than it spends? NSW sure doesn’t. Qld … pffft! Victoria? Ha!
Jul 21, 2009, 3:37 pm
Not exactly Divinestein are you ?
Jul 21, 2009, 4:13 pm
Maybe not, but at least I know what the “F” in F.Sala stand for.
Jul 21, 2009, 6:37 pm
only a fool would believe that the sport the FOOTBALL fed is talking about is Futsal…. Football is not interested in developing the game rather raping the game
Jul 21, 2009, 7:29 pm
No Ole, Football is not raping the game. Futsal is in the doldrums because there is very little support from the futsal community compared to football. Years ago, football was in the same boat with the NSL finals attended by a tiny crowd with no live TV coverage. FFA has turned this around. If the futsal community want to do the same, it has to show some unity and prove to the FFA that it is worth the effort. Until then, FFA is not interested, neither are advertisers, neither is the media. In other words, stop fighting over a tiny, tiny piece of the pie and blaming others. Futsal is doing this to itself.
Jul 21, 2009, 7:51 pm
If its that bad Henky…LET IT GO ! We dont want it at ‘YOUR’ level yet, we’ve too much work to do in rectifying the lack of effort by the FFA and previous organisers !
You wanna tell Lowey how healthy football is (dont forget to mention Perth, Adelaide and the Roar !!!!).
Jul 21, 2009, 7:52 pm
Of course you know what the “F” stands for…………..you put it in your mouth every time you speak !
Jul 22, 2009, 12:37 am
Kind of lost the point of the thread guys…….
Is it possible for the forum to be used instead of abused? Discuss (yes discuss) the issues at hand and stop the he said she said? I really love this sport and I have involvement with both Vikings and FFA Nationals. The more futsal the better as far as I am concerned. But guys my head is spinning with the crap coming out of your keyboards. There are sensible arguements from both sides as to the future of this sport. We are not talking about Football, so while the children bicker, the adults will attempt to get the job done and give Futsal the profile it deserves.
Do indoor cricket players have this same crap? Do cricket Australia try to control it?
Jul 22, 2009, 11:03 am
It’s not often I do this….. but Henk I agree with a line you wrote..”prove to the FFA that it is worth the effort. Until then, FFA is not interested”
The FFA aren’t interested….
But the Futsal community don’t need to prove anything. If the FFA showed leadership along with the states, and didn’t show at every opportunity that the only see Futsal as a training game or revenue raiser for football…. I think the Futsal community would get in behind.
Football offers no leadership, no guidance and unless you are 1 of about 14 senior men players…. Yes there was a review done…. has been distributed to State CEO’s only and it’s still a closely guarded secret…. can only assume it dosn’t say what the FFA want it to say….. and why hasn’t any of the Futsal fraternity seen the review, after it is for them?
Jul 22, 2009, 11:11 am
Inkle your right…… this thread is not the one for these posts…. sorry all.. I was posting to other posts instead of the topic….. lets let the SI 15′s enjoy their story
Jul 22, 2009, 6:48 pm
Sorry Inkle, I just need to repeat that FFA does not see futsal as a revenue raiser for football as Ole believes. If he made the effort, he can get hold of the financials from the various State Bodies. In fact, in another article of this website, NSW Football has stated that it will make a loss.
Jul 23, 2009, 6:32 am
Yes they will make a loss…. but the “SEE” the sport as a revenue raiser… hell the FFV ceo said it as such.
I don’t buy in to the make a loss bit too much, just words on paper at the moment. They have a staff of what 3? I know they are running around offering the world to clubs, coaching courses, development officer visit etc (why wasn’t this happening before) hell some have even been offered even lower rego fee’s.
Time will tell if any of what they say is true
Jul 23, 2009, 4:05 pm
Ole you are contridicting yourself. You say that FFA and other State bodies are not interested and in the next sentence say they see it as a revenue raiser. If it were such a great revenue raiser, they would definitely by interested.

“Futsal in the doldrums” aint the numbers growing every year despite the infighting?
Can anyone confirm/deny that both nationals will be on the same week in January 2010?
Jul 25, 2009, 11:47 am
The FFA Nationals will be on Jan 11 to Jan 15.
Jul 25, 2009, 4:00 pm
“The FFA Nationals will be on Jan 11 to Jan 15.” They should be great as usual. I’ll be there again.
Jul 25, 2009, 5:51 pm

Jul 25, 2009, 9:27 pm
