Age Division Coordinator
Volunteer Position: Age Division Coordinator
The purpose of an Age Division Coordinator Volunteer’s work
To promote, develop and help facilitate a specific age division within the Sunshine Coast Futsal competition.
The range of tasks performed by the ‘Age Division Coordinator’ volunteers
• Contact previous 2 years team coordinators for Volunteers specific age group to encourage entry
• Promote the age division amongst Sunshine Coast Football and Churches competitions.
• Attend a 2 hour introductory meeting for information about the upcoming season
• Follow up new leads within the specific age group to secure teams
• Follow up individual registrations requiring team placements within the age group
• Help to promote a healthy playing and spectator environment for the age group
• Identify team managers and coaches who may require encouragement or more specific help
• Help to ensure that the Sunshine Coast Futsal by laws are adhered to by players, spectators and officials.
Estimated Hours of Work
• Approximately 6 to 8 hours per week in pre-season for each Age Division Coordinator
• Approximately 2 to 3 hours per week in season for each Age Division Coordinator
• As many hours as desired for each age division coordinator (although this cannot exceed 16 hours a week unless it is part of a university course).
Supervision and co-ordination of volunteers
Sunshine Coast Futsal staff to provide instructions and guidance to individual volunteers. The supervisor is responsible for providing:
• Team coordinators lists and contact details for individual registrations
• Training and advice on issues that arise within the age group.
Desirable Qualifications, Skills and Attributes
• A working with children blue card will be required
• A keen interest in the development of Futsal. No previous experience in Futsal coaching or administration is required.
• A desire to expand one’s knowledge of Futsal and a healthy attitude in working with people.
• Willingness to have fun and encourage all involved.

• Opportunities may arise for involvement at a higher level of Futsal e.g. State team co-coordinator.
Out of pocket expenses
Sunshine Coast Futsal Association volunteers will be reimbursed for the following out of pocket expenses:
• Stationery to the value of $15.
• Phone calls to contact other team coordinators and new players
NOTE: A receipt, log book of calls or phone bill needs to be presented.
