Vikings NZ CEO Paul Wadsworth is in negotiations with Chengdu Futsal who are wanting to sign a New Zealand Futsal player for the upcoming Chinese National League.
“They have made an approach to sign atleast one Kiwi to their roster, we are working throughthe negotiations, but it will come down to player availability”, said Wadsworth. “This is a great opportunity for a Vikings player from NZ to go away and play professional Futsal”.
The season starts in late September and goes through until March 2010 and will comprise of almost 72 games. Chengdu signed Queenslander Scott Fenn last season but are very interested in signing a New Zealand player after recent outstanding results for the Vikings NZ Men side.
