FFV detail which age groups they will be taking to the 2010 FFA National Futsal Championships
Dear VIC Futsal community,
As the governing body for Futsal in Victoria, Football Federation Victoria is determined to provide the right platform for Futsal’s ongoing development. Our efforts in this direction are further enhanced with our commitment of 18 state teams to the 2010 Championships.
After much consideration regarding the current State Representative Program, it has been decided that Football Federation Victoria (FFV) will now send two squads to represent Victoria in the Boys Under 11 and Under 12 age categories to compete at the upcoming FFA National Futsal Championships in Canberra.
A high quality of talent was shown in the recent trial process in these age groups and FFV feels that it would be most appropriate for 20 players to represent Victoria at the National Championships, instead of just 10.

SQUAD SELECTIONS
The final Phase 2 trial session for the Boys Under 11 and Under 12 age categories will be conducted on Saturday 22nd of August, 2009.
After the completion of this session, a training squad of up to 26 players will be selected in each of the age groups and eventually separated into two squads at the discretion of the coaching staff during Phase 3.
Each of the final squads will consist of no more than 10 players however 3 emergency players will be selected to train throughout Phase 3 in order to provide coverage for injury or late withdrawal.
The squads will be identified as follows:
Victoria 11 Boys Blue – Coach: Clifton Dragon
Victoria 11 Boys White – Coach: Riccardo Marchioli
Victoria 12 Boys Blue – Coach: Jaroslav Dedic
Victoria 12 Boys White – Coach: John Dougall
FFV will continue to send one squad for each of the other age categories.
This decision will be reviewed for future tours after the completion of the 2010 FFA National Futsal Championships.
