Allstars Announce Team, Players and Keeper for Round #1 vs Sydney Benfica

Team of the Week – Open Mens

In what promised to be a game which could’ve gone either way , A quality Benfica side were expected to push our Mens team all the way but led by captain Adrian Vizzari our Mens side dominated right from the outset with an accomplished performance of both speed and clinical execution to win comfortably.

Male player of the Week – ADRIAN VIZZARI

Captain courageous led from the back and proved why he is still one of the most versatile and accomplished players in the competition. Playing in a more defensive role this season Adrian distributed flawlessly and still scored a delightful hat trick as well as laying on plenty of chances for his team mates.

Female player of the Week – MARIE SVINOS

With so much quality within our 16 girls team, it was the captain that shone the brightest in round 1. Marie had a great game and had a hand in most good things the team contributed. A polished performance which included a few goals and a few assists against one of the teams biggest rivals.

Keeper of the Week – ROBERTO MAIORANA

In his first game in an Allstar jersey Robbie was instrumental in helping secure his team the 3 points. Safe as bank in goal Robbie made some great saves, whilst his flawless contribution led to numerous quick attacking breaks and goal scoring chances. Keeping a clean sheet in his first game was a great effort.
