I think the draw has been very well done and I can see what a hard job it is. I would just hate to be either Western Raiders or Taipans in the mens comp on Sunday who have a game at 10:40am and back up again at 11:20am. Should test them out anyway :)

Who is the loser who made up the trial times for the state team selection.?
Girls from at least 2 premier league clubs have games on on the 15th.
Are games going to be deferred or what?

Whoha
Relax and take a deep breath. Both Benfica and Quake are working on an alternate venue and possibly for the 14th.
Originally trials were going to be held from 8am till 1pm.
Will advise asap

Great to a Super League club APIA 13′s boys among the group of winners…I watched a couple of their games and very well structured for a young team….Well Done!!!!

Nice to see the Futsal teams saturated with Premier League players being beaten by a Super League team that is saturated with Association players who won’t get proper recognition at Premier League trials. Wake up selectors and have a good look at real talent without the reputation.

@HTWF, the men’s game was great. I think the women’s game was also top shelf. Talk about serious. Both teams played a physical game with great skills. Sydney City taking it out in extra time. Talk about putting the body on the line, the goal line save was a great spectacle. WD Doyle

I think it is great to see SL teams beating PL teams, and I am a PL mum. The one thing I did see and laugh at though was the coach who couldn’t stop telling his team how good it was they beat the top PL team in their first game of the weekend. They then lost every other game they played.
They deserved the win, but they also deserved to win more and I think it was their coach and his attitude that lost them the other games.

“… I think it was their coach and his attitude that lost them the other games.”
He would not be alone. As you say it was good to see such strong competition.

I was present at the State Championships and there is no doubt that some players and coaches have the ethics correct on court behaviour. Futsal is a FAST, SKILLFULL game and has no room for physicallity. This game was started to enhance the close control and skill of football players. Rules were introduced such as ‘no playing off the floor’ and ’5 foul rule’ to keep the game clean. Unfortunately, some coaches still want physical confrontation and this only delays skill development. The Federation needs to take a firm stance and punish more of the ‘careless’acts. When will we learn in this country that for us to be a force on the world stage, it is each individual’s skill enhancement, great game flow that will eventually give us a World Cup…..not aggression! PUNISH IT!!!!
