Queensland will be fielding teams in the following age groups: 11 Boys, 12 Boys, 13 Boys, 13 Girls, 14 Boys, 14 Girls, 15 Boys, 15 Girls, 16 Boys, Youth Men, Open Men and Open Women.

Football Queensland Operations Manager Bruce Dinsdale was pleased that Queensland are sending so many teams to the national titles.

“We’ve very happy to be sending the amount of teams that we are sending,” he said.

“We were pleased with the quality of the players at trials and it is a reflection of the growth of futsal in our state.”

Players were chosen from trials that took place in Brisbane, on the Sunshine and Gold Coasts as well as Toowoomba.

“It’s a big logistic exercise but we’re pleased to be doing it to support the growth and development of futsal,” Dinsdale explained.

Football Queensland are currently finalising details of sending over 150 Queensland players and officials to the Championships that take place over 11-15 January 2010.
