Fubar Utd On Top!
Fubar Utd showed the newcomers FIFA 10 how it’s done on Friday night by beating them 8-5. Despite a hat-trick from play maker Adam, it was a team effort from Fubar with all out field players scoring.The Bad Beats took on the MFL’s Ashburton Utd, playing in a “friendly”. The Beats were playing for points and Ashburton were using the match as a warm up for Saturday nights first round of the MFL at Caroline Springs (which they won by beating AFG).Bad Beats played very well with GK George Mochos being awarded the Man of the Match. However, his heroics were not enough to save them, as they lost 5-3. In the last game of the night Lightning and the Devils played out a thrilling 4-4 all draw.
The Diamonds are the Jewel of the League!
The Eagles came close to up setting the Diamonds on Saturday afternoon. Despite going behind to an early goal, their experience proved the difference as they clipped the Eagles’ wings by beating them 4-1. The Sapphires were too good for Mako winning 8-3, with young hot shot Jack firing in 6 goals! The Hawks beat the Falcons 5-2 , but they did not have it all their own way. The Falcons put in their best display so far and it was only in the final minutes of the game that they conceded a couple of late goals to give the Hawks the points.New comers Green Machine and FC Green played their first game, with FC Green winning 15-11.
