Futsalroo Spathis ‘in total support’ of The Sydney F-League
Australias #1 Futsal Goalkeeper backs the F-League
19 November, 2009
Australian number one Peter Spathis today threw his full support behind The Sydney F-League’s bid to become the premier futsal competition in New South Wales and Australia.
“I am delighted an excited about the new concept that has been launched”, Spathis said about The Sydney F-League due to start in April 2010.
The current Futsalroos number one has been a member of the Australian national team since 2004 and is also an integral part of the New South Wales Thunder side which will compete in the inaugural AFC Clubs Championships in Iran next year.
“The league will give me a opportunity to play all year round and will be played at the same time as many tournaments that the national team play in Asia.”
“As I only play futsal it will condition me to be able to play stop clock and will make it easier when heading overseas”.
“I am in total support of The Sydney F-League”, Spathis concluded.
The Sydney F-League encourages all dedicated futsal clubs, players and members of the Sydney futsal community to get involved in what will be first week to week futsal competition to play under international conditions since 1996.
Applications for entry to The Sydney F-League close on 29 January 2010.
