The New Zealand Women continued their impressive start to the tournament with two further wins on the second day of competition. The side accounted for Chengdu 14 nil with hatricks to Kirsty Butland, Charmaine Arras and Lucy Chan a brace to Mel Anngow and further goals to Aimee Phillips, Chloe Williams and Tina Bosscher.
The second game of the day was against Foshan and whilst the side won 8 nil the game proved tougher than the score sheet read. Kirsty Butland and Lucy Chan picked up doubles while Mel Anngow, Tina Bosscher, Aimee Phillips and Emma Proctor all added to the score sheet.
This was a game the side needed before tackling Australia and Philippines today in what will be their greatest tests of the tournament.
