Sutherland Futsal Junior Success (NSW)
Sutherland 9s 10s and 11s make the State Grand Finals
Sutherland continues to produce talent at Junior level. SSFA high performance unit (HPU) have for the 3rd year in the row and had our under 9s in grand final.
The SSFA highly successful development program had the 9s, 10s and 11s boys reach the finals series in the 2009 Football NSW Futsal State Titles under the direction of Sutherland Futsal Youth Technical Director Jim Apostolovski.
The 9s grand final Sutherland vs. Fusion was a very nice display of Futsal from both teams. A close game that could have gone either way. Very structured play from Fusion got them some great goals. Our Sutherland under 9s boys had the support of the parents and coaching staff to play their little ‘big’ hearts out to get as close as they could with the final result being 5 – 4 to Fusion.
Also well done to both the 10s and 11s boys from Sutherland in making the quarter finals.
Overall 10 teams from Sutherland participated this weekend. Great effort all round to the team on and off the court from Sutherland. Match reports from each age group to follow.
The next opportunity to showcase their talent for the 9s, 10s and 11s boys from Sutherland will be to take on the best at the ‘McDonalds Futsal Cup’ to be held at Menai on Sunday 29th November 2009 hosted by Sutherland in conjunction with Ronald McDonald House.
