The Allstars took the lead after only 3 minutes when Samantha Bergin seized on some hesitation in the Dural defence and confidently slotted the ball past the keeper.

Much to their credit following this lapse the Dural defenders set about shoring up the defence and soaking up as much pressure the Allstars could throw at them as the Inner West girls dominated the mid-court.

The Allstars nearly extended their lead when Carmel DiMarco passed to Sam Bergin but her shot was tipped onto the post by Dural Keeper Ana Aceveao and then regathered.

Dural’s attempts on goal were few and far between but Adele Granata came close when Kiara Farquhar got away and passed the ball across goal to Adele but her shot went just wide.

Ana Aceveao came to the rescue again when she burst out of her goal to smother another attempt from Sam Bergin.

The Allstars were passing the ball confidently around the court and had a litany of shots on goal from their midfield as the Dural girls worked overtime to keep them at bay.

Sarah Yatim fired a long range shot just over and Yvonne Ilioglou was denied by another brave block from Aceveao in the Dural goal.

The teams went to the break with Dural holding out the Allstars for the rest of the half after Sam Bergin’s early goal.

The Allstars came out firing in the second half and Maree Patikas was twice denied by Ana Aceveao in the Dural goal.

Carmel DiMarco played a great one-two with Helen Petinos and Carmel’s shot produced another fine save from Aceveao. From the right side Maree Patikas looped a ball over the defence to Sarah Yatim but her volley was saved by Ana Aceveao.

Despite Durals courageous defence particularly Ana Aceveao in goal the Allstars had been peppering Dural’s goal for a long time since Bergins opener and were now starting to look guilty of missing too many chances.

That was until midway through the second half when the next goal came. Sarah Yatim scored her first goal when she skipped around a defender and fired a long range effort into the top right corner to make the score 2-0.

Shortly after Sarah picked the ball up just inside her own half and brilliantly dribbled past defenders and expertly slipped the ball past the keeper to make it 3-0.

Adele Granata nearly pulled one back for the visitors when she combined with Tiegan Whitney but Allstar keeper Mariella Hurtado tipped her attempt away for a corner.

Yatim then completed a terrific hat-trick when Marie Svinos sped down the left and passed the ball perfectly inside for Sarah to slot the ball past the keeper for the Allstars fourth goal.

The Allstars continued to pile on the pressure as Carmel DiMarco’s long range effort was tipped away and Kiara Farquhar produced a great block to prevent Maree Patikas from making it five from close range.

With three minutes left Adele Granata scored arguably the goal of the game when she brilliantly outpaced the defender down the right side and slammed her shot into the roof of the net from the tightest of angles to pull a deserved goal back for Dural.

In the end the Allstars played a lot of nice mid-court Futsal and ran out worthy winners eventually breaking down Durals stubborn resistance.
