How is there 6 players from there u/16 team in there? WTF??? That team at State Titles didn’t even get through the group stage!
The sutherland U16 boys are coming second last in the comp.
So I would say at a glance that they probably took whoever turned up for the U16 boys state teams.
What a bunch of W@nkers. Kids read this rubbish!!! Ur comments do more harm than good!
Congratulations to all kids, youth and men selected to represent NSW. Good Luck to all players and may the best teams win.
Just be realistic JACK SULLIVAN! Couldn’t be to hard to get into that 16’s NSW team if 6 Sutherland players got in and there coming 2nd last in Super League! Doesn’t say a lot for the rest of the people who turned up!
Jake don’t take it too hard…. I’m with you. What you’ll find is the kids who WANT to play Futsal got in, not the super elite he will play for man u, soccer player.
Good on them, they will only get better from the experience, this is what this sport needs more who want to play Futsal. Sadly you have to put up with the soccer people rabbiting on about the so called elite soccer player (who really dosn’t give a toss about the game) I hope they benefit from their Futsal pathway
toepoke, who mentioned soccer on this thread before you?
You really must try and get rid of this obsession.
Hell no simon, why would I want to stop an obsession of creating Futsal players.
So you tell us all why so few tried out for the 16 boys, was it they were all trying out for the NSW Vikings sides? I’m gathering their football club had trials or something that day, hell the super and prem league fixtures were affected by football before christmas I’m waiting for the next letter from FNSW asking football clubs to release their players for the pre/super leagues playoffs/finals.
So, once again, well done to those Futsal players who made the side
As they say, you gotta be in it to win it, so good luck to the Sutho boys !!
Looks like the outdoor trials had a profound effect on the Vikings NSW 15 and 16 boys as well then.
@ Toepoke
“Sadly you have to put up with the soccer people rabbiting on about the so called elite soccer player (who really dosn’t give a toss about the game) I hope they benefit from their Futsal pathway”
That is a good point you raise actually! I totally agree with you on that one. But all I commented about was that it isn’t too good how most of the team will consist of 6 players from a super league club coming 2nd last in 16’s. Don’t get me wrong, If they are the only ones willing to turn up then good on them for making the effort! It’s better than some outdoor kid getting controlled by his rep outdoor coach who has that “Futsal is bad” mentality! So yeah definetly, good luck to the boys!
ronaldo9 you really are a tool. Did you even stop to think that some of the players listed might be playing for Southern NSW. Considering this is an article for Sutherland Shire Futsal it is not unreasonable that some of the players may come from Wollongong and would therefore qualify for Southern NSW. The article doesn’t state which NSW team they will be playing for. Great job insulting these players and their efforts.
Congratulations to all these players on a great achievement making a representative team. Enjoy the week and have fun!
Oi Ben10ison…I don’t care!
I DONT CAREEEEE…
Oi ronaldo9.
Your comments just continue to prove you are the tosser everyone knows you are . LUCKILY all the 16 year old Sutho boys that were proud to make various state teams (and maybe not GLORIOUS THUNDER AND LIGHTNING) realise your comments are those of a nasty small minded little man.
Good luck boys. Well done. AND enjoy your opportunity.
most of these players will be playin not for thunder or lightning, instead for western nsw. Conincidence that it is headed by the same people as sutherland?
Western NSW? What comp?
I understand that the Western NSW players include those that are playing in the mountains (west of Sydney) and further west.
If the people running Sutherland also assist in teams from ‘western NSW’, I say good on them. No one else seems to be stepping up to help.
@whatthe, yes ronaldo9 is small minded…
Good luck to the players and officals from SSFA in the up coming Nationals.
Better player than yous will ever be!
regarding the 16 boys nsw team, i have a friend in that team and their is none of these players mentioned in the NSW u16 boys thunder team.
although even if the boys are coming 2nd last in the 16s super league comp does not mean that a couple of them are not good enough to make a nsw team, in the 16 boys this year their was only 20 field players and 7 goal keepers trialing.
I believe you will find that “NSW” teams are made up from boys from all over the state. Southern are NOT necessarily all from Sthn? Western may not all be from Western.etc..If they go there- win, lose, get flogged, who cares !
And who are all of you to get involved, as long as they enjoy it and learn and dont take themselves to serious – unlike most of the parents that go there the world will be a better place…
As they say OPINIONS are like ars…oles
everyone has one!!
really just to let you know, yes the 16’s didn’t go well but im the 14’s goal keeper for Western NSW and its the 1st year with that club and we ended up coming 3rd and we have only trained for 4 weeks. So i say congratulations to my team and the 16’s for even giving it a go and just going there 2 rep western nsw and show who we are and what we can do.
Congrats Bradley, to you the boys and the coaching staff. Im told that 16 boys could of won at least 2 of there games and the draw with QLD came in the last minute of the game or they would of won it. Anyway as you say the boys had little time to gel and at least half of the 16s were eligible to play 15s… great effort Western!
I say congratulations to all boys from Western NSW in both the 16’s and 14’s teams. They played hard in all games, and anyone who wants to give it a go should be given the opportunity. All these boys played 9 hard games over 4 days in absolutely horrific heat and they represented their area in the best possible way. CONGRATULATIONS TO BOTH TEAMS AND BRING ON NEXT YEAR
I actually have to agree with Leanne. The Western NSW boys were great to watch and the officials that were with them were a nice bunch of people.
Hope to see more next year and hope to see some girls teams perhaps. I know a few girls were admiring the colour of the playing strip.
