Team of the week
In what was a hairline decision the u/16 boys classic 4-3 victory over the previously unbeaten and table topping opposition was just enough to pip the Womens outstanding 9-0 performance.
The Boys were down 3-2 with 4 minutes to go until the boys finished off the job and claimed a brilliant victory against a very good side.
Male Player of the Week – Bruno Pivato
Bruno was sensational on the weekend and in a week were there were many outstanding performances his 3 goals including 2 in the final 3 minutes ensured his team reclaimed the top the top of the table.
Female Player of the Week – Carmel Di Marco
Carmel had a great game vs the Commodores, scoring 4 herself and laying on a number for her team mates. Carmel is really starting to find her feet and is starting tpo become a very important player in the team.
Goal Keeper of the Week – Marcello Bortone
Marcy made some great saves throughout this one but his contribution in ensuring his team came from behind to take the 3 points was not in defence but rather in attack. Playing as the teams 5th man in the final 5 minutes Marcello was instrumental in laying on the teams goals which sealed the victory.
