The newly appointed Manning Futsal committee anticipate a busy year with a range of activities planned.

This week will be the last round of the summer competition with semi-finals due to start on March 4 and grand finals on March 18.

Team nominations close on Thursday March 4 for the winter competition to kicking off at Saxbys Stadium Taree on Wednesday March 24.

Registration fees start from $22 for juniors and $32 for seniorrs. Team nominations are currently being taken for the following grades: Wednesday A and B Division; Thursday 8/9 years, 10/11 years, 12/13 years, 14-16 years, women, over 35s; Friday 6 years, 7 years, 8 years

Hot shots (5-8 years) program will continue during winter and organisers hope there will be sufficient nominations to run a tournament on Friday afternoons for these age groups.

The program is also looking to expand to Wingham – contact Peter or Cheryl Forbes for further details.

Manning Futsal’s new talent identification program will start in April when an academy to develop and train representative futsal players begins.

This program has the full support of Northern NSW Football and will be run in conjunction with other affiliated futsal centres across Northern NSW.

School holiday coaching clinics for junior players will be held in the April school holidays at Saxbys Stadium. Places are limited and will be booked as applications are received.

Futsal accredited coaching and referees courses will also be held during the year so anyone interested should contact the committee.

Expressions of interest are also being taken to start a women’s competition in the Great Lakes area on Friday nights.

For inquiries on any of the competitions or programs, contact Peter or Cheryl Forbes on 6553 0433, mobiles 0411 280 330 or 0421 017 399 or email [email protected]

Alternatively come and talk to the committee about Futsal at the sign up day on Saturday at the Football Mid North Coast Zone Football Field at Taree Recreation Ground (near McDonalds) between 9am and noon.
