What a great tribute to a real Futsal lover and a tireless worker for the sport.
Well said Rob.
I still smile every time I think about our mate Stan. A very infectious Futsal tragic.
I can recall playing a mid week state league game at the State Sports Centre (in approx 1990) where we were short on numbers and Stan put himself in goals, just to get us a game. We led for the majority of the game and with Stan’s hockey background helping keep the ball out of the net on many occaissions. With seconds left in the game he got a simply ball down low to his feet and the old back failed him and the ball rolled between his legs to give Sydney Swans an equaliser.
GOOD TIMES!
I have plenty of funny stories about Stan; most of them to do with his very high pitched voice!
A true gentleman who loved our sport and helped many, many people along the way.

Bommba.
What a fantastic concept. Well organised and it showcased the fantastic skills of the up and coming futsal players.
How good were the Hot Chix? They really gave it to the boys and were unlucky not to make the semi’s. Is that the future Viper’s side?
Well done Zvi – look forward to next years challenge.

Well done on a fantastic tournament.
It was a great day and well supported by the futsal community.
Stanley Pritchard would have been proud
and grateful for you to honour him like that.
I know his family greatly appreciated your efforts.
The talent on display was fantastic and it showed the future of the sport is in good hands.
Can’t wait for next year. Hopefully we get another invite.

This event was fantastic and very well organised in a very short period of time. To all teams which competed congatulations the talent on show was sensational. The girls were impressive as were all the teams. A big congatulations to the boys from Sydney City on winning the tournament the talent of the kids in this team has to be seen to be believed.
All in all a great day and a fantastic concept.
Whilst admittedly I had little to do with the tournament, I still feel obliged to make a post. This is mainly for two reasons.
1. To pay respects to Zvi, for taking the initiative and organising a tournament for the underprivileged and undervalued age group of our sport. With no one else looking to help the development squads, I’m sure his innovation was respected by all parents, players and coaches, even if it was not adequately shown.
2. Secondly, to the organises who assisted Zvi in getting a competition of that scale and standard organised in no less than four days whilst still having the prescience to dedicate the day to such a valued member of the Futsal community, is quite an achievement in itself.
It is people like this, organising days like this that are mostly responsible for the growth of our sport. It frustrates me to see the little attention a tournament like this has received pre and post event, THESE are the type of tournaments that attract children to our game, fun, exciting and (in the children’s eyes at least) competitive. It really is a shame however, with only two others taking the time to give thanks.

Re Stanley Prichard Development Cup.
Thanks for the fun tournament. Great effort on your organisation!Wonderful to see kids having such fun.Excellent skills shown by the little ones.Impressed by hot chicks- well done girls!! You gave the boys a run for their money.Who was the little girl with the red head band & who does she play for? Amazing futsal skills at such a young age.
Once again thanks Zvi for your great effort and input.
