Lorenzo D’Addona has announced he is stepping down from Benfica
22 March, 2010
On Friday 19 March 2010, Sydney Benfica FC held their awards night for the season that was. This included recognising Benfica’s 36 State Representatives and the obvious acheivement of finishing 5th in the FNSW Futsal Premier League Club Championship. This was a first for any newly promoted Super League Club. Congratulations also go to the Dural Warriors who will also remain in the top flite competition.
At the conclusion of the presentation, Lorenzo D’Addona made one final speech and announced that he was stepping down as Futsal Operations Manager and all coaching. Lorenzo has chosen to spend time with his loving family, concentrate on his work and undertake studies – Bachelor of Commerce (Sports Management).
Judging by the tears that followed, FNSW, Sydney Benfica FC and the sport in general, will miss you.
Lorenzo, the Benfica Family wishes you and your family, all the best and I know that we will still see you around the traps.
You are a true Benfiquista.
