Firstly thank you all for your emails and support.
It is a strange scene here as you can be in one street and all looks fine but around the corner it looks like a bomb went off. My house survived very well. The 110yr old gal stood her ground and only the chimneys collapsed. To my astonishment very little had moved inside and only a vase was broken. Sadly this is not the case for many many others who have lost everything including those in the Futsal family.
Roads are torn apart, geysers exploded in back yards filling them with sand and buildings fell….. but no deaths. We had two 5.4 quakes last night that cause more damage around the city and will no doubt further delay the restart of Futsal
Myself and some of the NZ womens team spent today out helping some of the elderly with their clean up or removing sand from property
The Futsal office won’t be open this week and there will be no league games in Christchurch until next week at the earliest
I have attached some pics from my home and or street
Some other shots from around Christchurch
