Hunter Futsal Xmas Message (NSW)
News from Hunter Futsal
14 December, 2010
On behalf of the committee of the Hunter Futsal Strikers club, the various supervisors at each centre and the referees I would like to wish all Players, Their Parents, Coaches, Venue operators and supporters a Very Merry Xmas and a Happy New Year.
As we finish up this week 17th December 2010 for a six week break I would also like to take the opportunity to wish all the NNSW Futsal teams GOOD LUCK at the upcoming Nationals to be held in Canberra. I am sure you will do the state and this club proud.
Thank you should also be given to all the Strikers Premier League participants and supporters. We are already looking for teams in all ages for next year and hope to have them in place by the end of the current summer competition in late February.
From these teams you may also wish to participate in our NNSW Futsal academy that helps prepare “would be” Futsal representatives and is undertaken during school holidays. (For more information ring the office 49 473440 or email [email protected])
We are proud to announce that we are now a member of the Gateshead Sportsworld Centre Board.
In conjunction with Sportsworld we are creating the biggest indoor “Futsal field’, outside of the AIS in Canberra, for our members and a winter competition for men and mixed will be available this season. I am sure people of the Lake Macquarie area and surrounds will support this centre.
Howzat centre continues to be the leader of the Strikers Clubs but Gateshead with a huge number of Macquarie football clubs in the area should be able to match its Newcastle brother.
Maitland is quietly growing and may have a senior competition over winter.
Tamworth has been taken over by another group but the loss there will be more than compensated with the introduction of a Central Coast Club. It means less travel for the Premier League teams and better competitions with a neighbor strong in Football history.
Broadmeadow Basketball will be back as a major venue next summer and some smaller Futsal clubs look like joining our administration.
So 2011 looks like being a great year with new Strikers centre’s being established new larger courts available and the continuation of the NNSW Strikers academy so as to deliver a premier league competition better than this year and create more chance’s for players away from the main centre’s to participate in this wonderful game. Our local club competition will also strive with more participants and more people playing the sport.
THANK YOU for your help , THANK YOU for support , THANK YOU for your friendship. MERRY XMAS TO YOU AND YOUR LOVED ONES
SEE YOU IN THE NEW YEAR
George Poulos
General Manager HFS / Director Gateshead Sportsworld.
