Central Kings have shown no mercy thrashing KC Ambassadors 5-1 during the 2010 futsal men’s open league semi finals clash at the Multipurpose Hall yesterday.

The match was played in all classic futsal style in front of a packed Multipurpose Hall.

Central Kings led by Kurukuru and beach soccer players Robert Laua, Coleman Makau and Micheal Misitana proved too strong for the KC Ambassadors.

Micheal Misitana opened their scoring from an early penalty; Coleman Makau made some shots but went wide since the Ambassadors tightened up their defense.

Futsal stars Elliot Ragomo, Micah Lea’alafa and Jack Wetney extended the damage to 3-0.

KC Ambassadors looked to be adjusting to the speed of their opposition and their keeper made a string of excellent saves to briefly keep the Kings at bay.

James Egeta got the first of goal for KC Ambassadors from a free kick awarded but the shot was deflected by Kings Keeper who has been closely guarding his goal mouth.

The second half was one way traffic as the Kings began their scoring galore.

However the Ambassadors got some pride when Egeta pulled one goal for them in the early minutes.

This does not stop Kings from their strong counter attacking.

Robert Laua found the net twice as the Kings extended their lead.

Coleman Makau and George Stevenson both shared a goal each before full time leaving the final score at 5-1.

In the other semi final, Zome Mars managed to escape the might of the Real lights boys in penalty shoot out.

The two battled but the full time but locked the scores at 3 all.

It was in the penalty shootout that Zome Mars managed to escape by 3-2, thanks to some good goal keeping by their keeper.

The win booked Zome Mars for the grand finals today against the Central kings today.

The finals will kick off at 4pm today at the Multipurpose Hall.
