Queensland Winter Futsal LeagueThis past weekend saw the regional representative teams in the QSFL reach new heights of skill and playing intensity. With only one more round to go, spectators and Coaches were witness to a new level of passion and commitment from the players across all the age groups.

Competing in front of a passionate and vocal packed house at Insports Cornubia , it was standing room only for those who came to watch the Elite teams in Qld compete in their pursuit of the QSFL Champions Trophy.

Incredible skill , acrobatics and technical prowess were all on display in this latest round of Futsal. Commitment and courage demonstrated by goalkeepers and crt players alike in their passionate fight for that victorious winning goal or game changing save.

There on the sidelines, were the Qld State Coaches, in states of fixed trance of what potential they have with their future selections of State teams.

” The opportunity to analyse players in action will be an invaluable part of our preparation for the National Futsal Championships . It was a pleasure to see a competition run to such a high standard, both in administration and competition. I have no doubts that this competition is one of the most well-run, efficient competitions I have seen, and the standard of officiating is indicative of the high level of play involved. The standard of play from juniors right through to seniors is fantastic to see, and an authentic indication of the talent of Futsal players in Queensland. It is pleasing to see such a high quality competition available for Queensland’s elite Futsal players.”

Phillip Canham (Qld State Futsal Coach)

” The Queensland Summer Futsal League has delivered an exceptional, well organized competition, packed with outstanding quality teams and officiated by highly professional officials. It has provided a incredible standard of competition that many of our players have craved but have not had opportunity to compete in for so long. Our teams eagerly anticipate each round, knowing that the standard of competition is the best ever experienced to date in the sport of Futsal in Qld.

Troy Doolan (Qld State Futsal Coach) (General Manager Brisbane Magic)

“Exceptional” is my only word for what I have been witness to in regards to the talent and skill on display at this years QSFL. From the 10s to the Open Men’s , the level of team play, technical skill and individual skill is just a sensation to watch. As far as the Gold Coast is concerned , being part of the QSFL has only strengthened our passion to the commitment of our player and coaching development programs. ”

Andrew Parkes ( Managing Director Gold Coast City Futsal )

The next and final round of the QSFL will take place again at Insports Cornubia , 146 Bryants Rd Shailer Park ( next to Loganholme FC ) on Saturday 5th February 2011.
