The Final round of this seasons Futsal Premier league brings with it some intriguing clashes. Some teams are clinging to their top 4 positions by the skin of their teeth whilst others are just on the outside looking in, hoping that results go their way to force their way in to the all important top 4.

The under 12 competition already has their top 4 settled. Sydney Benfica F.C have claimed the minor premiership holding a seven point lead over the 2nd placed Sydney City Eagles who they will face in the Major semi final next week.

The Inner West Allstars currently sit in 3rd place and a win over the Enfield Rovers will cement their position. The 4th placed Western Raiders could move into 3rd with a victory over Premiers Benfica and a victory in their catch up game vs the Mascot Vipers whos semi final aspirations were ended with defeat to the Allstars last week.

The under 12 girls unlike their 12 boys counterparts has many more subplots with the top 4 teams all playing each other this week. The Mascot Vipers secured the Minor Premiership with a victory over the Allstars last week but their opponents in the first week of the finals is still to be determined.

Sydney City Eagles currently hold the all important second position on 28pts but have the Dural Warriors breathing down their neck only a single point behind. The Eagles and the Vipers clash this weekend in what many people are suggesting could be a Grand final preview. Anything other than an Eagles win would see the Warriors get two bites of the cherry with a victory over the Campelltown City Quake who are currently in 4th position on 23 points and only 3 points ahead of 5th placed Enfield rovers who should win over the Allstars to put the pressure back on the young Campelltown girls.

The u/14 boys have 5 teams that can still make the top 4. Current leaders the Enfield Rovers take on 6th placed Inner West who still have a chance of making the top 4 with a victory over the Rovers and then victory in their catch up game. The Rovers currently lead the Sydney City Eagles by 3 points and 1goal but with the Eagles having a game in hand the Minor Premiership is still very much up in the air.

The Eagles take on the Mascot Vipers who currently sit in 4th position and a Vipers victory would end both the Eagles Premiership dreams as well as the Allstars last ditch effort to make the top 4 whilst consolidating their semi final position. Campelltown City Quake are sitting comfortably in 3rd position and should consolidate that with a victory over the lowly Warriors.

The under 14 girls have their top 4 teams already sign sealed and delivered. Sydney City Eagles have the minor Premiership sown up leading the second placed Mascot Vipers by 4 points going into their clash on the weekend.

The remaining two semi finalists will be the Inner West Allstars who are on 25 points the same amount as Campelltown City Quake with the latter a 3 goal less goal difference. The Allstars take on the 5th placed Enfield Rovers while Quake take on the 6th placed Dural Warriors.

The under 16 boys have mathematically 6 teams still vying for the top 4 positions. Sydney City Eagles with their victory last week over second placed Campelltown Quake saw them jump into pole position on 25 points.

The Eagles take on 4th placed Mascot Vipers who sit on 21 points but are only a solitary point ahead of the 5th placed Western Raiders who take on a 6th placed Benfica side who with a victory over the Raiders and a loss by the Vipers could see them jump from 6th to 4th.

The Dural Warriors are currently in second position on goal difference from this weekends opponents the Campbelltown City Quake both of which are on 24 points a single point behind the leading Eagles. Anything less than a victory for Eagles would see the winner of this clash take the Minor Premiership.

The under 16 girls top 4 teams all play each other this weekend. The competitions Minor Premiership is still up for grabs with both the Mascot Vipers and the Enfield Rovers battling for supremecy. The Vipers currently sit on top of the pile with 33 points and take on the Sydney City Eagles who cant finish any higher than their current 4th position.

Enfield Rovers who are on 31 points must hope for a surprise Eagles win and then defeat the 3rd placed Allstars to clinch their maiden Premiership. If the Allstars who have 28 points manage to defeat the Rovers then it will be the Allstars not the Rovers whom the Vipers will play in the first week of the semis as the Allstars have a superior goal difference advantage over the Rovers.

Inner West Allstars Youth Men have cemented their 3rd consecutive Minor Premiership with a massive 7 point lead going into the final round. The Dural Warriors will be the Allstars opponents in the first week of the semis having already secured second position.

3rd placed Mascot Vipers are also assured of their place in the semi finals regardless of their result against the 4th placed Eagles. The Eagles who go into the clash sitting on 17 points must get a victory to assure themselves of 4th position as 5th placed Sydney Benfica are only 2 points behind and take on the bottom placed Raiders. With a goal difference lead of only 4 goals not even a draw might be enough for the Eagles. Campelltown City

Quake cemented their unassailable position at the top of the Open Women’s table 2 weeks ago and go into this weekends round of fixtures 4 points clear of the Sydney City Eagles who must get at least a draw against the 3rd placed Mascot Vipers to get 2 chances throughout the finals series.

The Vipers with a win will move to second but a loss could see them drop to 4th. Enfield Rovers are currently in 4th place with a 3 point advantage over the Inner West Allstars and the 2 teams meet this weekend. The Allstars need to win by 5 goals to over take the Rovers whilst a draw will cement will cement the Rovers a semi finals position but a win and a Vipers loss will see Enfield move up to 3rd position.

The Opens Mens will see a 3rd new Premier crowned later in the year as the Dural Warrors hold an unassailable 4 point lead going into the final round. The Sydney City Eagles after beating and knocking out last seasons champions Campbelltown Quake have cemented their position in the top 4 to finish in 4th position.

2nd and 3rd positions are held by Inner West and Enfield respectively and both sides clash to determine who will get the double chance throughout the finals. A draw will be sufficient for the Allstars to secure second spot whilst nothing but a victory for the Rovers can see them jump into second position.
