Mens team named and ready for action at the Vikings Nationals
The side has come together well and will be bolstered by Australian representatives Zayne Freiburg and Scott Fenn who reside in Qld but have joined a Tasmanian side which is looking to be in the race for finals for the first time.
The squad is as follows -
GK: Zayne Freiburg
Australian Goalkeeper who has played and trained professionally in Brazil along with winning several National Titles in the past.
First year at Nationals but has established himself well in the Tasmanian Super League this year with the champions Derwent Storm, still only 19 years of age he could be one for the future.
The 18 year old recently toured the USA with the U/19 Australian squad along with Matt Smith and from all accounts did well, making his first step into the Tasmanian Men’s team Isaac will look to establish himself for future tours
Part of the all conquering North West Dynamite side which swept all before them in 2009, Adam has continued his development and will be an integral part of this side at just 18 years of age.
The leader of the side and part of the Tasmanian Super League All Star team 3 years in a row there is no doubt a lot of the success of the team will depend on his tactical mind and leadership. With a young team he will look to lead them as he did with Derwent Storm in this years Tasmanian Super League.
Another Australian rep. hailing from Qld who will make the switch this year to the Tasmanian side and this could be the x factor Tasmania needs to go one step better in 2011.
Australian U/19 rep. and a former Tasmanian Super League winning captain at the raw age of 18 will be a big attacking weapon in the Tasmanian armoury.
The “Mountain” as he is known at 6 ft 8 inches tall, this guy can single handidly win games with his ability to bring others in, look for a big impact from this guy once again
