Waves, who would have been disappointed not to have found the net could not replicate their earlier form earlier in night when they defeated Brisbane Magic.
Bayside’s prolific goal scorer Greg Stecowicz opened the account for the Eagles in the earlier minutes of the match and then capped a fine game by scoring the teams final goal as the match played down.
Stecowicz’s first up strike was then assisted by further goals from Justin Morrison and Daniel Corbet.
Bayside’s blistering form was difficult to match as their rotational play, firm passes and execution bordered on perfection. The Waves mixed up their play, rotated positions and applied pressure throughout the match to try and upset the Eagles rhythm but on this occasion were unable to penetrate the defence.
In other matches, Logan Metro United’s Conor Giles scored a late goal to upset Morayfield 4 goals to three. Giles found the net three times for his team and also played a strong defensive game denying the Rattlers a number of opportunities.
Best for Morayfield was Andre Budidjaja, Daniel Passey and Lucky Von Heydebreck who scored one goal a piece.
The win gave Logan their first win in their inaugural entry year of the competition and will be a welcome boost to their confidence.
