Vinnie Cotronea flies out to France on Saturday to represent Australia in a worldwide futsal tournament.
The Ballarat 19-year-old is Victoria’s sole representative in the Vikings futsal team to play in the Christophe Brissett Tournament and then a three-match series against Switzerland in Geneva.
More than 30 nations are taking part in the Christophe Brissett in Nantes.
This is the fifth year of the event, with Kiev Unisport from Ukraine the reigning champion.
Cotronea said Australia was guaranteed 10 games in the three-day event in France.
This is the second time he has represented Australia overseas, having played in an open youth team in China four years ago.
