Round 3 in Div 2

7:00pm last Place vs Spray N Wipe – Spray n Wipe vs last place began at a high pace with action moving from end to end. Last place scored early and then consolidated their lead with a wonder strike that left the keeper stranded across the face of the helpless goalkeeper. Down 2-0 Spray n wipe with no reserves were back in the contest at half time as matthew zappia scored a goal of the season contender, from some distance with his back to goal he struck a thunderous volley into the roof of the net. The second half saw spray n wipe score two counter attacking goals and then hang on for the win with last place struggling to get a decent shot on target.Match report courtesy of David Astalosh.

9:00pm Those Guys vs Internationals – Those Guys again won a very entertaining game. There were moments of extended possession periods by the Internationals, but the defense of Those Guys were just able to hold them out. Those guys approached the game with a patient approach and track back quickly when Internationals threated on the counter. Internationals were not able to captalise the numerous free kicks for foul violation commited by Those guys. Those guys took the lead early courtesy of a well hit direct free kick by Jason, and and a goal a piece by Tim and Ung wrapped up the 3 points in the 2nd half. Match report courtesy of David Tse

9:40pm Snipers vs Scuba FC: Scuba starting off brilliantly scoring two goals in 2 minutes from kick off through Pryo and Darren, looking sharp and dangerous .The Snipers quickly shrugged off the shock and got their defenses back in order, the game slowed down with both teams very carefull not to make mistakes however a foul committed by Scuba FC just outside the box gave Snipers their first goal. In the second half Scuba could not capitalise on many of their attacks , Snipers equalising through Ibrahim Anmak early on and finishing off with Atalay close to full time took the game 3-2.

It brought to mind Scuba FC’s start to last seasons semi final against the Razorbacks where they got off to a 3-0 start in 3 minutes and ended up losing the game. Scuba deffinately needing to balance their game if they are to stay in contention in this tournament. They certainly have the talent however need to work on strategy.

10:20pm Black Eagles vs Froosh: In this late nighter The Black Eagles took on Froosh , the Black Eagles getting off to a great start , leading 3-0 at one stage however Froosh eager to get themselves back in the game soon fought back to make it 3-2. Froosh could have extended their lead however innability to finish what looked to be some certain chances gave way for the Eagles to counter attack and take advantage of the lapses in defence, capitalising on error the Eagles got another two through Johnny Kelesh. A brilliant fourth goal to Froosh got them back in the game ensuring a dramatic ending however a very tired Eagles holding on in the end.Final score 5-4 to the Eagles.

The Hard Core Noobs had the Bye
