“I loved the whole experience. I did not want to leave. I wanted to stay and live there.”
“I did a lot of sight-seeing around Sugar Loaf Mountain and tripped around and saw a lot of the clubs.”
Ashleigh said a bit of futsal made it in her tour somewhere and was awarded captain of the team.
“We did okay. We won a few games but not many. We played all the school girl teams and visited all the schools around brazil.”
Ashleigh has been playing futsal through her school since grade six and won the Ipswich City Council’s.
Junior December Sports Award and a youth scholarship from the Queensland RSL which helped realise her dream.
“I just love how fast futsal is. You don’t know what is coming next and you have to be quick on feet.”
