Have asked this before but didn’t receive an answer.
I don’t understand………aren’t you Northern Beaches?
Well that’s what Alistair said to us back in May:

Subject: Update on nsw
To all,
Some of you may have heard rumours about what is happening in NSW with Vikings Futsal, and happily I am now in a position to give you the good news.
A new organisation FUTSAL NSW was formed and incorporated 6 months ago by a group of futsal people in Sydney. The major stakeholders in the group are Northern Beaches Futsal who in the summer had near 500 teams, Southern Districts Futsal who had 200, Western Raiders with 80 and Shellharbour with 80, but on top of this a number of smaller clubs have joined as well. In total the new entity has near 1400 teams or over 9000 players (which will give them more registered futsal players than Football NSW) and other clubs will be invited to join.
These clubs are all disenchanted with the futsal management of futsal by Football and see joining us as a pathway to greater involvement in futsal.
They will run all there own finances and programmes and simply support our programmes and pay us a small affil and rego fee.
FUTSAL NSW will be an affiliate of Vikings and as such will organise and enter teams in nationals, insure through our programme, and in 2012 take over running schoool titles etc in NSW
(Please note that the boundaries of NSW are from Central Coast down, NNSW still exists as another Vikings area. )
For us, we will be closing our NSW office and have no staff, and office of FUTSAL NSW for moment will be at Northern Beaches office at Manly.
This guarantees that there will be a full representation of NSW teams at national schools and club titles and gives Vikings a far larger presence in particularly Sydney. Our new affiliates are very confident a large number of other clubs will join in the next few months.
Please note that we are not going to make a big show in the media about this, but the simple first step is to let everyone in the vikings world know. At this stage do not put up on websites or in papers, that can all be done in time.
Any queries please email me

How can a club – NBFA all of a sudden represent Futsal in NSW?
Think I’ll start an Association and run a State Championship!
Hmmm wonder if it’s illegal?

OK now im just confused, do we have Futsal NSW (under Football NSW), Vikings NSW and now a third, Futsal NSW Association??
If thats the case then what is going on? theres no point having two organisations, let alone three!

Yes Rob, we now have three although my guess is that Vikings will exit NSW and leave it to the new mob.

Three Associations…thats crazy! So glad we only have one here in NZ…means the sport can actually be run as a SPORT and not a political nightmare. NZ Football-Futsal are doing a great job!

nz actually has two. vikings was starting to gain momentum over there until the christchurch quake hit.

Actually NZ only has one, Vikings NZ went into liquidation after getting themselves into debt, therfore it no-longer exists! Heard the majority of the clubs have signed with fifa, some still run privately but the only National body for the sport is FIFA.
