  • 33rd Anniversary of Futsal Nationals (First nationals were held in Melbourne in 1980)
  • 24th time the ACT has hosted the Futsal Nationals
  • 122 teams competing
  • 35 teams from NSW, 24 – ACT, 14 – Victoria, 16 – Queensland, 9 – Southern NSW, 9 – South Australia, 6 – Western NSW, 4 – Auckland Futsal, 4 – Tasmania, 2 – Solomon Islands
  • International Teams: Solomon Islands (under -13 Boys), Auckland Futsal (under-11 Boys – 2 teams, under-13 Boys – 1 team, Youth Men – 1 team)
  • Over 400 games (420 approximately) played at four venues (AIS Arena, ANU, Mpowerdome, and Southern Cross, Tuggeranong) over five days
  • An Athlete’s with Disability (AWD) Competition will return to the FFA Futsal Nationals this year. Southern NSW won the 2011 final 6-1 against NSW Lightning.
  • NSW Thunder is the defending men’s champions having beaten Victoria 3-2 on penalties after a pulsating 2-2 draw.
  • NSW Thunder is also the defending Women’s Open Champions, defeating ACT Cobras 1-0 in the 2011 Final.
  • In the 2011 competition, NSW Thunder won 12 titles, with NSW Lightning 2, Auckland 1, Southern NSW 1 and Victoria 1.
