Details on the newly formed club competing in the 2012 F-League
The 2012 F-league series has welcomed a new club into the Australian Futsal community, East Coast Heat F.C. This newly formed club is excited about the future and plans to make itself a prominent name on the futsal scene. From its outset, the club plans to be unique and has devised a strategy that it hopes will capture the broader futsal community, this being evident in the naming of the club. We have put together some information that we would like to share with you all and hope after reading it you will get behind the club and its plan for the future.
EAST COAST HEAT F.C
The club is the idea of two individuals, NSW Thunder Coach Jamie Amendolia and Futsalroo Peter Spathis. The club was formed to give players who truly love futsal the opportunity to play in a competition they believe could be the start of something special in the sport. Both Jamie and Peter have travelled the world playing and coaching and are eager to be part of the driving force that is trying to create a national league in the years to come.
WHAT EAST COAST HEAT F.C IS ABOUT
The club has no affiliation with any specific clubs. The plan is to capture the hearts of the whole futsal community along the East Coast that love the game and have no club to support in the F-League. Whether it be NSW, ACT, VIC or QLD the club would like to embrace everyone into it’s supporter base.
EAST COAST HEAT F.C ACADEMIES
As previously stated the clubs plans are not to be involved in weekly competitions with junior teams. The club aims to have academies set up along the East Coast that will allow parents and players who see futsal as being beneficial the chance to train and learn more about the sport. These academies will be open to anyone in the futsal community, regardless of whether you play in premier league, super league or play in a local centre. At present the game is still growing and it has been noted that unfortunately not all futsal players are involved in training programs. East Coast F.C Heat hopes to give players who want to train and learn more about the sport the facilities to do this.
In the weeks to come the East Coast Heat F.C will be providing details about trials and players that the club has signed for the year ahead. The club has already aquired the services of Futsalroo and State players but are still looking for players who will join us in our vision. Stay tuned.

Interesting setup. Recruiting players from two states. They are going to save heaps on airfares/accommodation, but they are never going to train together. That doesn’t really make it a real team/club. More like s hit and run missionary project. No heart and soul! Look for the established clubs that will fight for eachother to do well in the f league; maccabi, dural, strikers and vipers. At least they are backing their own squads.

Sounds a bit like the old Sydney Falcons. Get a group of rep players together so you can win tournaments like this then everyone goes back to their proper clubs.

I am suprised that they satisfied the entry requirements then. From my understanding there was a big emphasis on the entity being a club (juniors, social leagues, community involvement, school relationships, working with councils etc) and also a strong history.
