Contact them if you are interested in playing in the F-League
17 April, 2012
East Coast Heat have already secured the services of some fantastic players, however we have decided to leave a few places open at present. We have taken this step to allow anyone wanting to play F-League the opportunity to express their interest with us. If this is you then please email us at [email protected], and we will contact you about availabilities and training dates.
Keep an eye out over the next few weeks for East Coast Heat as we release our coaching and playing staff for the year ahead. Also our website is not too far away and will allow people to follow us throughout the year. Update : Website is now available here, www.eastcoastheatfc.com
We would like to thank everyone who has contacted the club with their support. Your enthusiasm whether it be as a sponsor or supporter is appreciated.

I am suprised no one else is commenting more about this issue. The other clubs have surely got a good case of being hard done by. For the integrity of the comp, the organizers need to in my opinion make a stand against it. Whatever way you look at it, it stinks. Especially for the teams backing up for a second stint of the F league.

I think what’s best for the F-League is that the best players in the country get to play. Heat allows those players to compete.

Yes I agree they should be playing – playing in established well supported clubs that fulfill the entry criteria. All the players now being recruited could have played for one of the current F League teams or they could have approached their respective club presidents or coaches to enter a team in the F league. An application by either of these two teams would have been welcomed with open arms by the F League committee. But this is not how it happened. One thing was said, and another thing happened all together. In Victoria players reneged on their pledges to play for a Melbourne F League team, and others who said they didnt want to play F League are all of a sudden got their supposed passion back. This all done in secret over the last few weeks – Not how the Futsal community should be treated.

Your assuming of course that all of these players would have been welcomed into existing F-League teams. Some yes, but not all. And of course this would of resulted in some existing players having to be cut.
Your also assuming that all it takes is to ask your Club President for $30k to fund a season and its all sweet. Only a handful of clubs have the funds and they are already in the F-League.
I can’t talk to what individual commitments players made, but I can say it was a difficult circumstance when no one knew for sure what clubs were going to be in the F-League in the first place. I don’t blame anyone for sitting on the fence.
I for one are happy to see that most of the Futsalroo squad will now be playing with one team or another. Sure it will make it tough for the other teams, but that is what the competition should be all about.

I think you will find most teams are finding it hard to come up with the funds needed for participation in this league. Most clubs are really propped up by 1 or 2 people and if it weren’t for these people, we wouldn’t even be talking about the f league, because there wouldn’t be one.
My beef is not so much about how the team is structured now, it’s more about who they said they were and who is pulling the strings behind the scenes. Apart from perhaps people at heat, i havent heard/seen anyone really impressed about the strategy they are using. The formulae they are going to use might not be the best one anyway. History shows a champion team will always beat a team if champions. We shall wait and see.

whats the issue here? who is playing for heat? are they pinching players from other clubs? & if so how are they doing this? what is the critiria? & were can you find out who’s been recruited? is heat recruiting queenslanders? I’m curious as i can not see how qld players effect this if they are not represented?
Also how did hearts join with cobras?
