The two F-League teams meet up in a trial match in prep for the new season, with the Blues coming out on top

On Friday, May 4th in front of a small but enthusiastic crowd the Dural Warriors hosted the Parramatta Blues in a trial game as both clubs step up their preparations for the forthcoming hummel F-League.
In a game played under full international conditions the Parramatta Blues proved too strong for the Warriors winning 6 – 5.
After a dynamic start from both sides where the game oscillated from end to end and the lead changed hands several times, the half time whistle saw the score line tied at 3 all.
Early in the second half the Blues took control jumping to a 2 goal lead only to be reined in by the Warriors who then surrendered the lead for the final time late in the game.
Warriors’ coach Rob Varela was very impressed by a very well drilled Parramatta team who were solid in defence, lightning quick on the counter and had some very skilful players on show, Rob feels that based on that display, the Blues will prove a formidable opponent to all teams in the hummel FLeague this season.
Although not despondent at his teams performance, Rob acknowledges that the Warriors have a lot of work to do to reach the standard that will be needed to be competitive in the league.
