Northern NSW Football finally officially supporting Futsal in their area
Northern NSW Football has signaled its intention to become the State’s leading provider of Futsal competitions by launching a Premier Futsal Competition commencing in October at the Newcastle Basketball Stadium.
NNSWF’s, Chief Executive Officer, David Eland said, “We’re very excited about this initiative, NNSWF will use the premier competition to showcase Futsal and to reaffirm our commitment to this fast paced form of the game.”
Initially, entries will be restricted to clubs competing in the NBN State League, NewFM 1St Division and Herald Women’s Premier League; however, opportunities may be extended to clubs competing in Zone Premier Leagues following the close of expressions of interest on Friday 27 July.
An agreement with NSW PCYC will result in further opportunities to compete in officially sanctioned Futsal activities in PCYC’s throughout Northern NSW. NNSWF is also negotiating exclusive agreements with several other facility operators. Further information will be provided in the near future.
“NNSWF’s Futsal business model is based on securing exclusive rights at appropriate facilities for extended terms to insure that our investment in this form of the game is sustainable,” Eland said.
Our vision is to be the leading provider of Futsal competitions in Northern NSW and enter representative teams in the FFA National Futsal Championships.
