Good Hit Outs For Quake Teams (NSW)
Quake reports on some of the trial matches leading into the NSW Premier League
24 September, 2012
Quake played its first trial matches of the season yesterday and some very impressive futsal was played.
The quality of the Quake v Majik Academy game was absolutely sensational and the futue of the game looks promising if the abilty displayed by both squads is any indication.
In other results Quake’s 12 Boys fought back from 2 goals down in the first 50 seconds to run out winners in another quality game, our very depleted 14 Boys squad went down narrowly in yet another exciting game whilstthe 16 Boys were very, very good in a big win. The Youth did enough to show they will be competitive this year. Majik’s Boys and Youth squads are good and should prove a force in Super League this year. Good luck to them all.
Mt Druitt sent their 12, 14 and 16 Girls to the trials at short notice. Unfortuntaley their squads had next to no futsal experience and little to no training in the lead up. All the girls teams kept clean sheets and scored pretty much at will. The squads showed discipline and respect and we thank Mt Druitt for the opportunity to play and wish them well this year.
Finally, the Women’s squad took on Majik and ran out comfortable winners after going a goal down early. They showed enough to indicate they will be contenders again this year.
Yesterday we saw 5 of our ‘keepers debuting in futsal and how impressive were they! The club is lucky to have these talented players.
Next game against Sutherland this Saturday.
As always……..GO QUAKE!
