With just 7 days until kick off, Redlynch Futsal have confirmed an impressive team listing for the 3rd International Futsal Challenge next week.

Commencing next Wednesday 24th October ten of the best in Futsal will be playing off for prize money of $15,000.00 in total and bragging rights as the best International Futsal team for 2012.

Tony Cifuentes, GM of Redlynch Central Sports Stadium is looking forward to the tough competition;

“Kobe University Forca FC were the champs in 2010 and runners-up last year and they are back and fighting to regain their champions title. The Argentinean team is also impressive and the Brisbane side boasts some very talented Players that won the tournament last year. With flanker Gianni Romano, and Full back Scott Fenn all playing next week.

Our own Cairns United FC and the Northern Stingrays, the development side for the Cairns United team have been training heavily for the competition and feel confident of a win against some of these sides.

Coach Tony Cifuentes and Enver Salita are confident that Cairns is in a confident position to do very well this year.

“Coming 5th last year has put fire in the bellies of our players. We are hungry for this win and are determined.”

All international arrive in Cairns on Tuesday with training sessions commencing Wednesday 24th October in morning. Games commence 6:000pm that evening with the Grand Final Gala presentation on Sunday 28th at mid-day followed by the 3rd and 4th play-offs and the grand at 2pm.
