The 2012 National School Futsal Championships Kicks Off (QLD)
The Australian Futsal Association tournament started today in Townsville and Cairns

This morning saw the start of the 2012 National School Futsal Championships in Townsville and Cairns.
The tournament commenced with opening ceremonies at both venues. I would like to take this opportunity to thank our special guests, ex Socceroo Frank Farina, ex Matilda and current Australian Futsal player Jo Burgess, CEO of Australian Futsal Alistair Miller and Councillor Max Ohalloran. In Townsville, thanks go to Councillor Les Walker for offically opening the tournament.
The National School Championships are a unique opportunity for players from across Australia to participate in an event that is recognised as the highlight of the School Futsal calendar.
The Association is proud to act as the catalyst in bringing together the thousands of people who are set to enjoy the hospitality of Northern Queensland. The several days will see fierce competition tempered with social interaction and the true meaning of sportsmanship.
