School teams from U10, U12, U14, U16 and U19 age groups for both boys and girls have been playing across NSW since March to determine the winners of their respective regions.

Football NSW Game Development Officer David Plowright has been hugely impressed with how well schools in NSW have embraced the competition.

“The passion shown by both students and teachers at this year’s competition has been fantastic.

“The atmosphere at every single regional competition has been electric with everyone playing in good spirit.

“There has been an incredible display of playing ability across the state.

“Hopefully through the NSR Futsal Schools Championship we have offered a number of children an opportunity to continue playing futsal through a number of our Football NSW-accredited centres.

“It certainly bodes well for the future of futsal in NSW seeing the number of children playing and enjoying themselves.”
