The 4th Cairns International Club Futsal Challenge is set to kick off next week Wednesday 23rd of October with 12 teams competing, 6 International teams from Argentina, China, Fiji, Taiwan and 2 from Japan, as well as 5 interstate teams from Melbourne, Perth and Brisbane will all take on our local Cairns United FC boys in a bid to WIN $10,000.00, and bragging wrights to be 2013 Champions.
This tournament is now the largest International Futsal event in Australia and has been recognised Internationally as a Major Futsal Tournament and a must for any Futsal Club wishing to take on some of the best Futsal Clubs from around the World.
The 11 Teams travelling to Cairns will start arriving on Monday 21st and with games set to start on Wednesday, no doubt all teams will be putting in their final preparations at Redlynch Central Sports Stadium on the Tuesday to give them the best possible chance of winning. Tournament organiser Tony Cifuentes is very excited about the large number of teams from overseas competing this year and says this Tournament will showcase some very strong Futsal players not only from these other countries but also from Australian and some very talented local players.
Games will be played every day from 9am and will culminate with the Grand Final on Sunday 27th at 2pm, so bring the whole family along to Redlynch Central Sports Stadium in Redlynch Cairns to witness this spectacular sport of Futsal, its Fast, exciting and skilful, and make sure you support the local boys as they do battle with these teams, food and a licenced bar will be on operating each day.
