Futsal Premier League Round 2 Preview (NSW)


Logo - Football NSW Futsal (PNG)Round two of the 2013-14 Futsal NSW Premier League pits Mascot Vipers against a red-hot Boomerangs, Campbelltown Quake welcome Phoenix to Minto, Mountain Majik travel to Enfield Rovers, while competition heavyweights Inner West Magic and the Dural Warriors has been deferred due to four players being absent on Futsalroos duties.

Premier League newcomers Mountain Majik tackle Enfield Rovers at the Morris Iemma Indoor Sports Centre on Saturday hoping to build on their solid start to the summer. Majik toppled Campbelltown in the opening game and grabbed seven wins on the day to really announce themselves in the big league. Enfield were gritty in a 2-0 loss to Inner West and won’t want to fall to far behind early on in the competition.

Campbelltown Quake play Phoenix Futsal Club at Minto Indoor Sports Stadium on Saturday with both teams looking to grab their first open men’s points. Quake were pipped 6-5 by Mountain Majik in an opening-weekend thriller while Phoenix lost 0-2 to Mascot to make this Saturday night’s encounter an important fixture for both clubs soon into the new season.

Mascot Vipers host Boomerangs in what promises to be a cracking affair at All Sorts Indoor Sports Centre on Saturday. Boomerangs shocked everybody by shocking defending champions Dural Warriors 3-1 in the weekend’s first round of action and will look to ride a wave of confidence into their meeting with a Mascot unit that disposed of Phoenix 2-0. Both sides will be keen to make it two in a row.
