Round four of the NSW Futsal Premier League sees Boomerangs face Campbelltown Quake, Mountain Majik tackle Phoenix at Ryde Sports Centre, Inner West Magic battle Mascot Vipers, while Enfield Rovers meet Dural Warriors. Check the footballnsw.com.au for Saturday’s kickoff details.
Inner West Magic clash with Mascot Vipers at All Sorts Indoor Sports Centre on Saturday night. Inner West have had two weeks off with players away on Futsalroo duty and they walk straight into a fiery encounter with undefeated Mascot to reignite their summer. Vipers disposed of Phoenix in round one and then drew 5-5 with Boomerangs to indicate they’ll be a tough assignment for the league heavyweights.
Under siege Enfield Rovers meet title holders Dural Warriors at the Morris Iemma Indoor Sports Centre on Saturday night. Enfield have one win in three games and need to chalk up the W’s soon or kiss their summer goodbye, but they may be facing Dural at just the right time. The Warriors have had two weeks off with players away in Thailand with the Futsalroos and may be a little lean on match practice. This should make for intriguing viewing.
An in-form Boomerangs tackle a rejuvenated Campbelltown Quake at Minto Indoor Sports Stadium on Saturday night. Boomerangs are unbeaten this summer and can maintain their table-topping edge with another good showing against Campbelltown; but Quake awoke from their early-season slumber with a fine 5-3 win over Enfield Rovers last week to finally kickstart their premier league campaign and indicate better times ahead.
Mountain Majik meet Phoenix Futsal Club in an interesting match-up at Ryde Sports Centre on Saturday night. Majik suffered their second successive loss last week, a 9-2 thrashing by Boomerangs, and they’ll be hoping to learn from that experience and be better equipped for a tough league quest. Phoenix are one win and one loss to start the year and will believe they are well in this weekend’s battle of the premier league newcomers.
