2013/14 PEPSI Womens WVLP Round 6 Result : Heidelberg FC 0-7 Pascoe Vale FC

First game for the night saw the youngsters from Heidelberg taking on an out of sorts Pascoe Vale. Missing players and plenty of new inclusions to the side did not hault Pascoe’s charge as they raced out to a six nil half time lead the star of the show Chloe Drinoczky bagging a first half hat trick

After half time Heidelberg put up a much better performance only conceding once to Nicki Tumbelty although they could not manage to score themselves they only conceded once in what looked positive signs from Heidelb rg. As for Pascoe Vale a win was crucial after suffering 2 defeats to their closest title rivals they picked up some much needed points in their quest for back to back titles.

Aside from her 3 goals Drinoczky was brilliant all round the court playing in some delightful passes as well as defending for the team she picks up our player of the game award for this fixture.

2013/14 PEPSI Womens WVLP Round 6 RESULT : Fitzroy FC 6-1 Vic Vipers FC

FFC : C.Fruscalzo 2, S.Papadopoulos 2, E.Vatcky, S.Oddo
VV : J.Byrne

Final game of the night pitted Fitzroy against the Vic Vipers and it was the tigers racing out to the better start going into the break leading 3-1 curtesy of goals to Elaina Vatcky and 2 to Stacey Papadopoulos while Jess Byrne got the only goal for the Vipers.

Having their full strength side on this court for the first time this season Fitzroy looked a force to be reckoned with coming up big again blowing the Vipers out of the water with 3 unanswered goals to give them a 6-1 win and boost them up to 3rd in the league and keeps them in touch with a runaway Melbourne Uni. You would be foolish to think this side if they turn up every week could not win the league they definitely have the squad to do so, As for the Vipers they need a serious reshuffle if they are to keep in touch with the leagues front runners.

Player Of The Game – Stacey Papadopoulos (Fitzroy FC)

The young forward was on form once again bagging 2 and creating constant play for her side as Fitzroy FC made it a Men’s and Women’s double tonight as her side jumped up to 3rd in the league.
