Logo - Mountain MajikIn the 2012/2013 season, Mountain Majik were crowned Super League Club Champions with 6 of the 9 teams making the Grand Final. The U/12 Girls, U/14 Boys, U/14 Girls and Womens team took out the Championship with our U/14 Boys, U/14 Girls and U/16 Boys taking out the Premiership for their respective age groups.

The 2013/2014 season saw Mountain Majik progress into Premier League Futsal and finish in 2nd place on the Club Championship leader board – a remarkable achievement for the club. The club is now well represented in the finals series with 6 of the 9 teams making the top 4. All Premier League Semi Finals will be held at All Sorts Indoor Sports Centre on Saturday 8th February. Mountain Majik would like to wish all of our teams the best of luck in the Finals series.

This year has also seen the addition of two AWD (Athletes With Disabilities) teams for the club. Our Division 1 and Division 2 teams play in their Grand Finals this Saturday (8/2/2014) at Dural Sport and Leisure Centre. The Mountain Majik family wish both of our teams the best of luck in their respective Grand Finals.

Match Previews

U/12 Boys – Mountain Majik VS Boomerangs FS:

For the first time in Mountain Majik’s short history, the U/12 Boys will appear in the Finals. The boys scraped into the finals and sat 4th on the competition ladder – equal 3rd with Boomerangs. In Round 3 Mountain Majik ran out winners 2-1, whilst in Round 10 Boomerangs took home the 3 points winning 6-2. It will be a competitive game for the boys but if they put their minds to the job and believe in their team mates they will succeed.

U/12 Girls – Mountain Majik VS Inner West Magic:

This is the second year running the U/12 Girls have made the Finals. The girls finished the season on a high and sitting in second place on the competition ladder. They play a strong Inner West Magic outfit who have only lost 1 game all year – to the Mountain Majik girls. In Round 5 Inner West Magic edged out a 3-2 win, whilst in Round 12 the Mountain Majik girls clenched a 6-4 victory. The Mountain Majik girls know that if they are on their game they can beat anybody and will endeavour to do this to head straight into the Grand Final.

U/14 Boys – Mountain Majik VS Enfield Rovers:

This will be the third consecutive year Mountain Majik’s U/14 Boys have reached the Finals. The boys managed to take out 4th spot on the competition ladder by 1 win. They now take on Enfield Rovers in what is sure to be a tough match. In Round 2 Enfield were victorious over Majik 3-2 and again won 3-0 in Round 9. The Mountain Majik boys need to challenge Enfield with confidence and belief in each other to keep their finals hopes alive.

U/14 Girls – Mountain Majik VS Dural Warriors:

This will be the second year Mountain Majik have had their U/14 Girls reach the Finals and the second year they have taken out the Premiership. The girls will meet a hard-hitting Dural team who finished 1 point behind them on the competition ladder. In Round 6 Dural Warriors out-played the Majik girls 4-2, but in Round 13 our girls took the 1-0 win to claim the 3 points and almost secure the Premiership title. With the Majik girls beating the Dural girls only 2 weeks ago, this is sure to be a thriller for the first spot in the Grand Final. The girls are very capable and with many players playing Futsal Finals in previous years, Majik are sure to be full of competitiveness and confidence coming into this match.

U/16 Boys – Mountain Majik VS Campbelltown Quake

This will be the second consecutive year the U/16 Boys have made the Finals series. The U/16 Boys took out the 2013 State Championships and finished in 2nd place on the competition ladder. They will be looking to knock off 1st placed Campbelltown Quake to ensure they see themselves in the Grand Final. In Round 1 Quake edged out a hard-fought 3-2 victory over the Majik boys, but in Round 8 Majik took home a 4-3 victory over the Quake boys. This is sure to be a competitive contest between the two teams and will leave spectators on the edge of their seats. Over recent weeks the Majik boys have shown their passion and commitment to the team. If they show the same passion and determination in the Semi Final, they will surely move straight into the Grand Final.

Open Women – Mountain Majik VS Dural Warriors:

The Open Women finished in 3rd position on the competition table and find themselves up against a Dural squad who scraped into the Finals. In Round 6 Mountain Majik were victorious over Dural in a 3-1 battle. In Round 13, the Dural women were out to show they meant business and defeated the Majik women 3-1. This elimination Semi Final is set to be a tense battle between the two sides. If the Majik women can show their true colours and play Futsal the way they know, they should win this tough encounter.

AWD Div 1 – Mountain Majik VS South Coast Taipans:

In the inaugural AWD competition the team from Mountain Majik finished in an impressive 2nd place. They face the undefeated South Coast Taipans in the Grand Final. In Round 4 Mountain Majik went down 7-4 and in Round 9 lost 7-2 to South Coast Taipans. The team from Mountain Majik have since had 2 good wins and are looking to be in good form coming into the Grand Final. The team is full of drive, determination and incredible skill. If they use this as part of their game plan, they are sure to make this Grand Final an incredible contest.

AWD Div 2 – Mountain Majik VS TBC:

Our Division 2 team finished the competition in 1st place – an extraordinary achievement. With only two losses and scoring the most goals in the competition, it is no wonder we see the Majik team in the Grand Final.
