FOz: Natalie, what are you most looking forward to about the 2014 WFAFL Cup?
NS: Playing with and against quality players and also the hype of the tournament with teams travelling from different states making it more competitive, fun and an enjoyable weekend!
FOz: How do you see Futsal currently in Australia? What are your expectations/hopes for women’s futsal over the next couple of years?
NS: I think it is quite disappointing that no official Womens Futsal Australian team has been formed seeing as though it is 2014. Hopefully within the next year or so this will change as this will help womens futsal grow and players will have more of an incentive to play knowing that they can go further with the sport. There is a lot of talent around Australia and with the right selection process and decent coaches we can definitely compete in international tournaments.
FO: Who are the players in the Sydney Magic squad that fans should keep an eye out for during the 2014 WFAFL Cup?
NS: The team is very well balanced with youngens and old heads. All of the players in the squad have great individual talent, so hopefully we can perform well together as a team.
FOz: Who do you think will be the team to beat the 2014 WFAFL Cup?
NS: I think all teams will be strong but besides Sydney Magic being the team to beat haha i would probably say last year’s winners Parramatta Blues.
FOz: What team/player do you draw inspiration from?
NS: Jo Burgess is one player I have always looked up to. Her professionalism and attitude are reasons why she is so well respected both on and off the court. She has amazing skill and great knowledge of the game.
FOz: Thanks for your time and Good Luck in the 2014 WFAFL Cup!
NS: No worries, thank you and good luck to all teams
